Surprised my partner to a birthday trip to this lovely little cottage in the middle of the Peak District and was not disappointed. The owner made us feel very welcome and even gave us some nice home made biscuits on arrival! (They didn't last long!)
Weather was rather cold and windy, but the log fire and heating kept us plenty warm :)
I'd definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here, it's a great little getaway - thanks greatly!

Both me and my girlfriend found ourselves taken in by the charming cheese press cottage and the idyllic scenery surrounding it. The cottage itself was clean and beautifully presented and the homemade biscuits were a delight. We would certainly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a quite, peaceful retreat.
Came here with my partner for a winter break in the Peaks. Great accommodation, clean, cosy and well equipped. It was exactly what we were looking for. Jane was a great host and the biscuits on arrival were much appreciated.
Location was great for exploring, Bakewell and Buxton not far and Chatsworth House in easy driving distance. Walks in the local area were fantastic, amazing scenery on the doorstep and the maps provided by Jane were very useful! Already recommending this place to others who are looking for a break in England.
