My husband and I stayed in this beautiful converted creamery. It was an amazing space with a bath shower and fully filled kitchen for all your kitchen needs. We came here for a couples getaway. You have the feeling that you are the only ones here even though there are a few other cottages and of course the family who own the farm. The unspoilt views of the peaks is incredible with sheep and cows in the fields next to us. Jane the host was most helpful. Very quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. There was good WiFi connection and lovely details such as puzzles, dvds, recommended walks and pubs and an espresso machine!! We didn’t get to explore the farm or the walks but we will be back to do this!!! For us it was more to be away from the routine of our every day lives and to catch up on sleep. 10/10 stay, I recommend to all who are thinking of escaping to the countryside!
Courtyard Creamery at Biggin Grange was the perfect location for our last few days in the Peak District. The setting whilst sitting outside on the patio area was superb plus we could do one of our planned half day trail walks without having to get in the car. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The brownies were also a lovely treat which the owner Jane kindly drew to our attention when showing us around. We wish we could have stayed longer to do a few more walks in that part of the Peak District. It was also a great location for visiting Leek for the Saturday markets, plus day trips to National Trust locations such as Biddulph Grange Gardens and Moreton Hall, all highly recommended visits.
We have just spent 4 perfect nights at Courtyard Creamery. Beautiful accommodation in a tranquil setting, the property wanted for nothing, 3 lovely days walking, weather perfect, Jane on hand if needed and delightful meals at the Devonshire Arms at Hartington. A roll top bath to soak our walkers feet and the property was just perfect, in a country where there’s so many places to visit we tend not to revisit but Courtyard Creamery could be an exception.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful Peak District stone cottage. It was built in the 1800’s all on the ground level. The kitchen area is well-equipped, with excellent small and large appliances and kitchen tools. The TV, WiFi, and electric fireplace all work well. There is a good sized patio off the kitchen that provides nice views of cattle and sheep in the pastures. It’s hard to beat that!
The owners, Jane and Richard, live on the property and are terrific.
We heartily recommend Courtyard Creamery.
Idyllic, tranquil, beautiful scenery, the only sounds were the sheep and the cows. Great accommodation, great location, great host. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
