A lovely, family house with everything that you need and more! Patrick has thought of everything and was a perfect host.
Lovely bedrooms and all ensuite...a rare find!

“One of the best stays in Ireland”

This was my 4th. time over to the emerald Isle and was well pleased with my stay here. Patrick was a perfect host, shortly after we arrived he brought over a basket of scones and Irish butter to our delight. He also kept check on us to see if we needed anything on a daily basis. He has an extensive dvd library as well as all types of tourist information available there at the house. The bedrooms and baths were absolutely great. I will definitely stay here on my next trip over. The small town of Oldcastle is a great place to walk to and have a pint at the pub. Lots of points of interest close by as well. Really enjoyed our time there.

“The merriest Christmas ever”
Reviewed 3 February 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We rented the house for 3 days before Xmas to treat my elderly parents to a celebration with all our extended family in one place. We had 3 teenagers and 5 adults in the party and we all had a fantastic time, the house was so cosy with a log burning fire and underfloor heating. The bedrooms were all luxurious and very large, the 3 upstairs were ensuite and the one downstairs had their own bathroom adjacent with a walk in shower and bath! We ate, drank and were very merry culminating in a big family dinner (cooked by myself) with two table pushed together and all the Xmas trimmings including party game after. What I like the most was that the kitchen, living room and dining room were all one big room so everyone could interact throughout the 3 days. Thankfully the wifi was accidentally switched off for the first day so we actually got the teenagers to take part in conversations and games (thanks Patrick you were right). I can thoroughly recommend this house, the little village has everything you need (including a singing priest at mass on Sunday - he is famous and has been on the late late show so my mum was over the moon). We had a very chilled three days surrounded by our loved ones and we were all a little sad leaving the house behind, but was a great start to our festive celebrations. Thankyou to Patrick for all your help and patience, you have a great property and hope it gets lots of visitors as they will have a great time in County Meath.

“Perfect stay”
Reviewed 2 February 2016 for a stay in September 2015

We chose Glenboy for it's convenience for attending a family wedding but were blown away by how relaxing and enjoyable our stay there was, It's a beautiful and spacious place ideally situated for access to the town and country. It was easy to get to from Dublin and Patrick provided a very warm welcome for us all. We would definitely recommend it.

“Home away from home”

The cottage was comfortable, even more roomy than we expected. We had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The location is quiet, just outside of Oldcastle town. Oldcastle has pubs, grocery, a few restaurants, butcher shop, etc. The cottage is very near to Loughcrew cairns, which are smaller than Newgrange, but much more interesting in that they aren't overrun by tourists (at least not yet....). Easy drive to Fore Abbey and Trim Castle.

Liked best: Quiet setting, but many things to see and do within easy driving distance.
Liked least: Yard could be set up differently for outdoor relaxing/dining.
