“Cosy,cottage,a pure gem”
Reviewed 23 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Found this delightful cottage quite by chance and what a find.It is ,quite simply ,the very best we have ever stayed in.Finished to a very high standard,it sits back in an enviable position ,overlooking the quayside in Noss Mayo,a mere stones throw from the delightful Ship Inn.It has 2 bedrooms, which have the most comfortable beds ever, fabulous bathroom with a brilliant shower, the living area dowstairs has a very cosy feel, with a fabulous log burner.Gabrielle is such a warm and welcoming host always on hand if you require tips on places to visit. All in all,we had the most amazing mini break here and cannot rate highly enough.

“All you need in a tasteful package”
Reviewed 28 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We are three nights into a 4-night stay and enjoying it so much that I wanted to get thoughts down in the white-heat of pleasure! Pilchards benefits from a quiet location in lovely Noss Mayo (formerly Nesse Mathieu) with Gabrielle looking after your needs. A fully stocked breakfast fridge with local produce and juices means that breakfast is a relaxed affair. And if the weather allows, can be taken outside overlooking the estuary. This is self-catering taken to another level. Everything is clean and comfortable with a touch of luxe (bay and rosemary hand wash !) and topped off by a wood burner for cozy evenings in. The bedrooms (one double, one twin) are quiet and snooze-inducing areas of calm. The place is probably not best suited to people with mobility problems (steep stairs) but to anyone who is looking for a high-end stay in a great location, near to a good pub; this is a great choice. Thanks Gabrielle!

“Gorgeous cottage with everything you need and more besides”
Reviewed 19 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I wasn't looking for a cottage - we were only staying two nights - but I loved the place as soon as I saw the pictures. Gabrielle, the owner has very recently refurbished it to a very high standard - she certainly has an eye for interior design! The kitchen has absolutely everything you'll need - there were tea bags, and two types of loose tea, instant coffee and ground coffee, home-made scones, and delicious biscuits, home-made bread, and so many delicious things in the fridge for breakfast! The bedrooms are a double and a twin, and are luxuriously comfortable. There's a big walk-in shower with a 'rain' shower and an adjustable shower so you can choose whether or not to get your hair wet (very useful for us girls). It smelled divine too! The pub is 2mins walk away and serves really good food right in front of the creek. Lovely place. Very picturesque and peaceful. Just what the doctor ordered.
