Awesome room and location!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 Aug 2021
Stayed here for 3 nights. These rooms are huge! Bigger than most hotels I've stayed at and bigger than my own room and the King-sized beds are a big plus. I tend to move around a lot in my sleep. 4 big, soft pillows, 2 sheets, and a thick comforter. A rotating flat screen TV that you can see from any point in the room. A hot tub over by the shower area (you do have to flip a switch before filling the tub, but I figured it out easily since it's the only switch by the shower area). A/C works well in the summer when it's 90+ degrees outside! Also has a heater option on the same unit. Changed the room temperature very quickly. Airtight seals on the windows too (I stayed here during the close-by fires and it was all smokey outside). Vending machines with food and drink on-site. Free parking with plenty of spots even when the front desk said they were at full capacity. Friendly guys at the front too with a lot of places to let you know where to eat or play. Very quick check-in with the guy that helped me (I checked in a little early and they had my room ready already at 3pm). Fairly close to the casinos if that's your thing (they have events and shows all the time), but also close to 2 different beaches. Kind of a lot of people on the beaches even during all the smoke in the air, though I understand it's a big tourist place. Plenty of sushi places nearby, which I loved Harumi! Free coffee and tea in the morning and a few breakfast places within walking distance. Decided not to go with McDonald's across the street, but Red Hut down the road is awesome! Oh and they have bikes to borrow too (beach cruisers), but I didn't use them. Not much of a bike person to be honest. Definitely will be coming back though! Thank you Postmarc!

Stayed at the Postmarc for one night. Thought we would splurge and get one of the fireplace king suites. We have stayed here before and really enjoyed the rooms. Well this time we got a room that was, well for lack of a better description weird. You walk into the room and laid out before you is the most confusing layout. They boast Jacuzzis in their rooms, but what we walked into was nothing short of a oddly shaped whole in the floor with steps leading in. It easily could have held 500 gallons of water, but we never made it that far. After about an hour, and three faucets, running full blast we got the water to the first step…just enough to cover the jets. Tried to turn on the jets, took about 4 tries to get them on. I would equate it to trying to start an old truck, you know it will start eventually you just have to be patient. Well we sat there for a few minutes looking around the completely steam filled room and just gave up on the idea of having a relaxing bath. Once we got the steam cleared, using the exhaust fan in the small toilet room, we went to bed. Most everything was damp from the steam. Needless to say we were a little disappointed. There were other things that needed attention, but those were just cosmetic. The mirrors were a little unnerving, and the hooks and eye bolts attached directly over the bed, odd. So if you are looking at the Postmarc avoid at all costs room 118, unless you are into this kinda thing.

Truly glad you love the hotel. Room 118 is a honeymoon room which is why there is a 9 foot jetted tub, not a jacuzzi. Yes, it takes about 25 minutes to fill which is worth the wait. Look forward to you coming back. Perhaps in a different room. Take care.

Pros: Room was larger than standard hotel room and the large jetted tub was a huge plus. I would definitely book this over another hotel that didn't have a jetted tub in the room if they were the same price.
Cons: The 2.1 amp USB charger on the night stand did not work. The outlet to the right of the fireplace did not work. The faucet on the tub felt like it was going to break off. The door to the bathroom will not close (this would not have been a big deal except it got wedged partially in every time it was closed and then would make a loud noise when opening, thus waking up my wife in the middle of the night). Room 110 was quiet over night BUT very loud in the morning as everyone slammed the exit door right next to the room and the garbage truck came to get the dumpster which was located on the opposite side of the bed. Woke up 2-3 hours earlier than when I wanted to this morning.

So, my girlfriend and I were visiting south lake Tahoe, and we decided to book at postmarc hotel and spa... And oh my God! The room was amazing! We had a beautiful view at the Mountain from the window, fire place , large jetted tub! California king size ( comfy/cozie ) large mirrors in the room witch we found interesting at first.. the hotel it self has very helpful and polite employees, not being from Tahoe. The front desk was sure to give us plenty of things to do everything between hikes and activities.. to going out to a really cool magic show for dinner... And experiencing the (Stateline) casinos. Oh would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a couple or married! Great stay 5 stars

I booked this hotel nearly 3 months in advance for my Anniversary. My email confirmation had the correct check in dates and my debit card was billed 2 days prior to check in. Upon arrival we were told we had no reservations, after 10 minutes of waiting and me crying, we we were offered a horribly tiny, dirty room with no fireplace above the lobby facing the busy road or a refund. We ultimately took the refund but our money was not returned until a week later and we ended up driving 5 hours back home. Beware of this place, they offered no apologies or compensation and were downright rude. Terrible customer service.

We needed a get away somewhere that was COVID safe and still enjoyable. This was the most amazing hotel I've ever visited in South Lake Tahoe. I felt like royalty honestly.
When arriving, the front desk was so kind and welcoming, more so than any other hotel I've been to. The staff went above and beyond during our stay, and management even came out to give some local recommendations. The room was gorgeous and the view was fantastic, looking into the beautiful courtyard outside. The bed was super comfortable, and there was a large soaking tub to relax in each evening. Great amenities, and tasty coffee and tea selection down in the lobby each morning.
Staff gave great suggestions of local places to eat, drink and enjoy the beauty of the lake.
Anyways... stay here. It's absolutely amazing. And they have bicycles for guest use and a fire pit!
