I would never stay anywhere else in South Shore after staying here. Everything from the really nice rooms... to the helpful and friendly owners and staff... to the breakfasts and Happy Hour... was perfect. And with COVID restrictions, having the outdoor patio with spaced tables and heaters and firepit so that you can take out food and bring it back and enjoy it outside in the evening, while visiting with other guests doing similar thing, was even more special.

I didn't want to write a review of the7 Seas Inn because I'd like it to be kept a secret. But the proprietors were so lovely, I told them I would comment. It is an adorable, clean, convenient hotel with access to a nearby beach. That should be enough, but nooooo! They also have beach towels and chairs to take to the beach, a lovely happy hour, a little garden space to hang out in, delicious breakfast, and really good coffee. We stayed by accident when our camping plans were waylaid by fire, and this more than made up for our disappointment. Will we return? We are already making plans!

Stayed here for the one night we were in South Lake Tahoe. (Our first time to Tahoe)The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.
When booking the room I didn’t realize it was in such great walking distance to everything! Heavenly village and many shops and restaurants are easily accessible without driving. When you stay you also get a pass to the beach, which is 5 minutes away. An easy walk as well. The beach was a great past time. The hotel has beach towels and chairs available to use, so convenient. The breakfast was done picnic style for you and they also had a nacho and drink reception in the evening in their nicely appointed courtyard area. We were sad we had only booked one night here, we would definitely recommend and would stay again if in South Tahoe. Thank you to 7 Seas Inn for a wonderful stay!

There is good reason this is perhaps the only 5-bubble review in Lake Tahoe! It is a GEM! We stayed five nights at 7 Seas Inn and enjoyed every moment. The staff feels like you're talking to old friends - from check-in to the complimentary happy hour every evening, and everything in between.
Breakfast during COVID-19 restrictions was served in insulated picnic baskets. The mornings we left before 8 a.m., they made us a basket to go with hard-boiled eggs, fresh melon, yogurt, and pastry breads like poppyseed, banana, or raspberry. On days we left after 8, breakfast included coffee and hot items like omelettes, breakfast burritos or sandwiches with egg, cheese, and turkey sausage. Everything was really good.
The patio at the Inn is intimate yet there is plenty of space to have room to yourself around a fire pit or the small water feature. We really enjoyed the nightly happy hours, complete with beer and wine and some kind of snack, like grilled corn or nachos. We even saw a bear poke his head over the privacy fence one night while we were sitting out late finishing a bottle of wine!
There is a private beach walking distance from the Inn (about a 7-10 minute stroll), and the Inn provides towels and beach chairs. We enjoyed a little downtime after a good morning hike. Honestly, there are prettier parts of the lake, but it's nice that this beach is so close and convenient (it even has a little cafe where you can get beer, sodas, snacks...)
The rooms at 7 Seas are basic and small -but had everything we needed. And, they were very clean. If you're looking for luxury, this won't be the best fit, but the luxury to us was in the people, experience, and charming nature of the Inn. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else at Lake Tahoe!

Bill, Deb and the crew always impress. After staying at a number of motels and hotels in South Lake Tahoe, 7 Seas Inn at Tahoe has to be the best choice for all it provides. Bill always greets you with a smile, makes you feel like family (the good kind!). The rooms are well appointed, very boutique and super clean. The breakfasts are fresh, tasty and plentiful...great, strong coffee to boot! The evening social, complete with beer, wine and appetizers really hits the spot before going out to dinner and enjoying conversations around the fire pit. They even have it down to a science during these COVID-19 times, creating made-to-order breakfast baskets for each room so you can enjoy eating in your room, on the patio or bring down to the beach.
Bottom line, everything is well thought out and great service is what they consistently deliver.. That's why it's our favorite place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. Conveniently located close to the beach, the casinos, restaurants and Heavenly.
Put this place on your list when visiting the area. You'll be happy you did!
