Excellent Location! Easy to walk to Heavenly Village and the casinos. In the middle of everything, but conveniently tucked into to a quiet spot. We had a 2 room suite which provided plenty of room to everyone to spread out and have privacy. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
I was promised a quiet room in the back and when I arrived my room was taken and I was put in the first set of rooms right on the road. VERY NOISY. Then, I tried to contact the manager, Ms Mason, and she would not call me back even after I went to the front desk and wrote a note for her personally to call me. I finally kept called even after I left the hotel three days later and she was very rude! I tried to get new towels (no room service due to covid) and they said they were out of towels at 3:00pm. We had a 5:00 reservation and needed to shower. There was trash on the steps for three days when I was there and maid service never picked it up. Outside doors and not elevator. This is not a hotel it is a motel. Very dirty and noisy. Stay way.
We stayed here 5 days with our family. Hotel was very clean, staff was courteous and their breakfast to go was delicious, warm breakfast sandwiches, pastries, fruit, coffee, etc. The scenery is amazing, you can see the mountain & tall trees once you step out. We walked to Heavenly Village to shop & eat the whole time we were there. Hiking trails are not far from here, maybe 20 minutes. I would definetly stay here again. Staff was friendly & helpful, hotel is very clean and location is great.
I booked our stay through Trip Advisor/Agoda since it had the best price and latest cancellation.
Convenient location in South lake to restaurants, shops and Heavenly. Check in in was quick. Hand sanitizer station I lobby never seemed to be filled. The room was somewhat small and dated , with small TV and older microwave and fridge (but no freezer). It was nice to have single brew Keurig, although the coffee pods we brought from home didn’t taste as good brewed from their machine. It was harder to eat take out since the desk only had one low chair and the arm chair had no side table, but no biggie. The bed was comfortable but beware if you have feather allergies as half the pillows were down and when we asked for foam pillows they said they would check if they had any and never got back to us. The bathroom was updated and modern with plenty of counter space and decent shower.
They offered breakfast that you pick up and bring back to room (choice of egg sandwich with ham or Turkey sausage, 2 hard boiled eggs, prepackaged muffin/French toast/croissant, cereal, yogurt, orange, banana), which was enough to fill you up until lunch.
Pros: location, comfortable bed, decent shower, Keurig machine, variety for breakfast
Cons: small TV, dated smaller room, value
This hotel puts the "Inconsistent" in IHG's nickname of "Inconsistent Hotel Group".
I was booked into a King bed and called a day before arrival to ask if as an IHG platinum if I could be upgraded to a room with 2 beds if available on my day of arrival. The GM picked up the phone (she told me several times that she was the GM) and said that the owner doesn't allow "upgrades" to rooms with 2 beds. I reminded her of IHG Platinum benefits including upgrades and she said she would ask the hotel owner if they would make an "exception".
I checked-in and the front-desk rep had been "briefed" to let me know that the owner declined my request for a room with 2 beds even though they were selling tons of them on their website (so they were available). There were also selling small suites but I imagine I'd have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting upgraded to one of those.
This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at across any chain (in 50+ countries) where I'm entitled to an upgrade and have been declined a room with 2 beds when it's available.
Room was old with an inconsistent heater and definitely not worth the rates they were charging. Wifi was also slow (think 5-10mb/sec) and to-go breakfast was meh.
Safe to say I won't be returning and would not recommend this hotel especially to IHG members!
