Wow, this gallery is excellente!!

When you arrive you are treated to great landscaping and architecture with a number of sculptures setting the mood.

Inside buy your tickets and head down 3 floors underground to begin your journey. Save time for a cocktail very well made and take your time exploring some great artworks!

You can spend four hours or more here and maybe more if they have live music outside in the grounds. Would be smashing on a sunny day.

Just go check this place out because it’s awesome

I'll admit I was unsure whether I would enjoy Mona. I am definitely not an art enthusiast. But Mona was pretty amazing. The building itself is incredible, the ferry is a fun mode of transport & I found a lot of exhibits highly enjoyable. I am really glad I paid extra for the Unseen Seen & Weight of Darkness (you must book in advance). The Moorilla winery is also fabulous - very yummy wines! Definitely worth the visit! Also highly commend the staff - very happy & helpful!

This is a museum of “modern” art. Most exhibits are suitable for the young. There are a few that are more for the adults. You will soon work these areas out. Take a coat, a picnic and catch the ferry, it’s the best way to get there. You can drive but it is boring. It has a great bar and sitting area. Try out some local gins and whiskies. 3 hours should do it. Of course there are restaurants but be prepared to get the wallet out, especially with the family. Take your time and if you feel a little tired rest by the bar. Remember 1 man has done all of this, very impressive as the whole structure has been tunneled under ground. Enjoy.

We were blown away by this imaginative & wonderful Museum, housed in an amazing rock face. I didn't like every exhibition, but I certainly was pleased to be prodded into thinking about different ways that art can exist. The water wall & the white library were two favourites. We paid extra to have the personal experience in Pharos called 'Unseen Seen' and 'Weight of Darkness', by James Turrell & that was very special indeed. We will be back!
