This is a review of a week of cooking lessons + accommodations for the week + all meals + all wines, liquors, and liqueurs. The price for all of these amenities was very reasonable.

The week's cooking lessons, the Torre del Tartufo location, and the Tuscookany staff are all beyond compare. The property is beautiful--near Arezzo (which is about an hour's drive from Florence), but remote in the nearby hills. Public rooms and accommodations are beautifully appointed, with the rooms where you stay having lovely views. The cooking lessons are serious and excellent, with a deeply experienced chef who seems to have eyes in the back of his head that prevent culinary catastrophes. The staff is warm, welcoming, and endlessly helpful. The day of touring small businesses that make meats, cheeses, olive oil, wine, and gelato is well structured, instructive, and fun. This is the experience of a lifetime. Sign up!

My husband and I had never been on a cooking vacation, and we absolutely loved it! Chef Franco and Paula were great and so pleasant as well as our host Lena, our go to for anything we needed! The food was excellent, the views from our tower room at Torre del Tartufo were amazing! Paula did an amazing job setting beautiful tables for every meal! The whole experience was simply amazing!!

Tamara and I just kept repeating ourselves day after day "we've never had a more pleasant week of vacation!" Franco and Paula are such a pleasure to be around. The cooking padawans were absolutely amazing to cook and dine with. The views from the rooms and dining areas are just incredible. Thanks to Lars and Pippa for allowing us to share the villa, cook with a master and dine like never before with great folks. No Ka Oi

This was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever had. Torre del Tartufo is located at the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. It is a truly idealic setting. Our class was only 7 so we all got really personal instruction from Franco, our chef and instructor.

We had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the pool and take excursions as the cooking sessions started at 3PM each day.

The staff was great and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home and comfortable. All in all, this was a truly memorable experience which I hope to repeat one day.

It's been a couple months since I returned from this trip and my heart aches to return and cook, hike, rejuvenate and spend time with Alex, Lena, Franco and Paola. Franco is an amazing chef and teacher adjusting to the wide range of cooking experience in the class. He was entertaining and a task master all at once. Paola won me over from the start helping anywhere in the kitchen. Her artistic flair for setting the most beautiful tables with flowers from the property was inspiring. Alex and Lena are the consummate hosts ensuring every day is a wonderful experience and attending to any needs a guest might have. It is a gem in the Tuscan mountains. I can't wait to return.

Room tip: Every room is spectacular and there are different formats; some have multiple bedrooms for families and some have fireplaces.
