“Perfect Cottage Break”

Had a wonderful 3 night stay here in February. Everything you need for that perfect break. The owners are on hand if you need them but not intrusive. The cottage is immaculate, well designed and comfortable, with a lovely private patio. Dog owners will love all the thought Mark and Karen have put into your stay. Dog bed, treats, toys & bowls. Welcome pack has lots of great information from sightseeing, local walks and good pubs to takeaway services and menus. The local pub is very welcoming, people very friendly and great choice of food. Great place too for country walks. We loved our stay so much we rebooked as soon as we got back for May. I can't recommend this cottage enough, every little detail has been thought of by Karen and Mark, cant wait to return.

Thank you for your kind comments, and for letting us know about the outside light. We will get the bulb replaced today and give the patio a power wash, we are also having additional lighting fitted in the bathroom in a few weeks time. Looking forward to seeing you again in the summer.

“Excellent Cottage! One of the best”

We stay in a lot of self catering properties but this might be the first that we couldn't fault!
Large comfy bed and sofas, kitchen well equipped, very spacious for two, well decorated, perfect location for exploring the Dorset coast and really nice hosts.
We would love to stay again!

“Gorgeous holiday cottage”
Reviewed 18 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We had the most fantastic stay at The Old Coach House and special family times. The house is furnished so well and to a high spec and we were so comfortable-a real home from home. My husband said he has never slept so well away from home and thought the bed was divine! It was so clean and we didn't want for anything. We loved the hot tub too. The location is great and we had a tasty meal at the local pub. Mark and Karen were so helpful and friendly. Dorchester is very close and is a pretty town. In terms of dog friendliness you couldn't beat it either, everything you need for your dog is there. Maisy loved her bed next to the lovely warm radiator! All in all I couldn't fault this accommodation and would love to return again.

“Wonderful pet friendly Country Cottage”
Reviewed 20 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

What a lovely find this cottage was. Sometimes when you take a holiday let that allows dogs the standards are not always the best, well that is definitely not true in this case. The standards throughout were excellent. The cottage has been done to an amazingly high standard. Everything has been thought about. Its homely but in a really tasteful way. The cottage has been equipped with everything you will need. We stayed in and cooked a couple of times and it was a very well equipped kitchen.

The bed was so comfortable and the bedroom very spacious. The only criticism would be the head height by the sink in the bathroom but we understand the owners are hoping to do something about this later in the year.

We eat at the local pub, the Chalk and Cheese, which was pub food and fine and very friendly. We also went to The Grey Hound Inn at Sydling St Nichols which was lovely with great food. Both pubs allow dogs

The location is great. Its easy to get to the coast. We went by train - 25 minutes to Weymouth. There are also got great walks in the countryside right from the cottage.

We liked it so much that we plan to return later in the year.
