“Great spot to stay, but taller people will have issues with the bathroom”

We're just home from a great week and this property is really well appointed. The standard of finish in the building is excellent and has great attention to detail. The bed is fantastically comfortable and there's everything you could need in the kitchen. My only issue was with the bathroom as the sloping roof meant I shaved with my head practically out the velux window and let's not talk about using the loo but my neck still feels like it has a crick in it,

Overall it would have been 5 stars if it hadn't been for the bathroom and the casual lighting could do with brighter bulbs. As for Logan the German Shepherd, he's an absolute star.

The Chalk and Cheese pub in the town is a short walk and does great food and beer, but travel out to the Winyards Gap Inn at least once for superb food.

Thanks for your feedback Trevor, we're glad you had a great stay and enjoyed the cottage and our local pubs. We tried changing the bathroom bulbs recently but really need a couple of additional fittings which will be done soon. Headroom is a bit restricted in the bathroom for taller people so we are looking at extending it with a dormer window next year. Logan is chuffed to bits with the compliment, hope to see you again soon.

“Nice property but restricted headroom, poor lighting & parking lets it down”
Reviewed 21 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The old coach house or more accurately the converted double garage for a bungalow.

The conversion was good and the furniture was equally so but the property did have its faults. A good village location.
The sloping ceiling in the bathroom meant you could not stand upright to use the basin or toilet and the lighting was really poor.
The lounge had a beam across height 6ft 3inches but I was aware of it as I was 6ft 2.5 inches.
The radiator in the lounge was inadequate so you needed to light the log burner if the weather was cold.
Finally the property was adjacent to the parking area of the B&B also owned by the same people. People parked right outside our window, which you had to walk round to exit the property.
I would recommend with reservations

We are glad you liked the cottage and thank you for the feed back, we will get some brighter lamps in the bathroom. The cottage has a very high level of insullation and is usually warm enough just with the radiator, but on very cold evenings the wood burner is great. Sorry parking was a little restricted during your stay we are carrying out work which will create an additional two spaces within the next few weeks.

“Excellent, cottage, location and break away”

Superb cottage , with all you could need for a relaxing break - all mod cons, home from home.

Brilliant location with easy reach of superb dog friendly beaches and excellent seafood restaurants.

Great place to stay, but sadly not as dog friendly as we thought. We didnt know that the door to the garden was upstairs & our dogs found it really difficult to go up the stairs especially as they are open tread.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry the dogs had difficulty with the stairs. There is also access to the gardens via the gate next to the cottage which is much easier for dogs, sorry you didn't spot this we will put up a sign so the access is made clearer. Hope to see you again.

“Peaceful and relaxing”
Reviewed 17 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Amminaties very good and comfortable furnishings. Furnished to a high spec and a fabulous extra large bed. Lovely to sit in an evening and be able to watch a decent sized TV in comfort.
Nice little seating area on both sides of the building. Very safe and secure for your animal to roam. Situated in a nice village with shop and pub and decent chippy all within walking distance. On the whole an excellent stay.
