Great funky place with consistently good food and really friendly and relaxed service - one of the best in Cape Town.

The Sidewalk Cafe in Cape Town is owned by the Madame Zingara group.
Quaint and cozy, it offers great coffee and quite acceptable, healthy and fresh food.
A nice place to meet friends or for business during the day, it becomes really lovely at night with its fairy lights and lovely atmosphere.
Worth a visit.
VERY friendly staff.
The Restaurant is quaint and trendy with warm fires and friendly staff. Where is goes pear shaped is the pricing is expensive especially the draft beer (served in a jam jar) and whiskey, (plus even the burger special) ? The food was good but still seemed very pricey. Was also irritated that the waiter got a 10% tip, then kept the slip (that I needed for business) and then kept the extra change too...?
Popped in for lunch and time to read. It was a winter day and awesome to sit inside with the sun hitting my table. The place has a trendy real energy. Good people.
I had a Caesar salad which came with a perfect soft center egg in the middle. It was perfect.
