We hade the pleasure of staying at the Don Carlos again this June, and as with our previous stays, the Hotel, staff, service, room and food were excellent. Our stay was even more enjoyable this time due to the newly renovated beach club, and area we had not previously visited. As with the main hotel, the staff and service were great, with great food, and some of the most comfortable sun loungers I have ever been on! This was my third visit to the Don Carlos, and did not disappoint at all, a truly first class hotel, with friendly staff, in a beautiful setting - we look forward to our next visit. Thank you all at the Don Carlos!

I am currently staying in the Don Carlos hotel in Marbella with my boyfriend. We are half way through our stay and so my review is based on the first half!! We have really enjoyed our stay, the setting is beautiful and the resort has all you could wish for.. to be honest, we don't really want to venture out of the resort!! When we first arrived, we were told that we had been upgraded and then told actually he had got it wrong and we were not been upgraded which was a little disappointing but we didn't mind as the rooms are all spacious, clean and have brilliant room service! however there has definitely been a few minor signs of one rule for one and one for another (people in the public eye are receiving a lot better treatment!) Apart from those tiny issues, the stay has been the perfect break, made better by Ma Angeles Martinez who has made our stay even more relaxing! We will definitely be back!

We are delighted to read that you are enjoying the Resort as you should, but we are a little uneasy as for your feeling that some people are receiving better treatment than others, since for us at the Resort, all of our guests, are rockstars and should be treated like that.

A very good hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, from the duty manager to the cleaners. It is 15 minutes in a taxi to Marbella. We took the trip once and the best compliment I can give to the Don Carlos is that we didnt really want to venture back out again! We had everything we wanted there.

I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel recently on a four day business trip and only wish i had found it previously as i have made several trips to the ares on business.
This is a fabulous hotel that ticks all the boxes: exceptionally clean, large rooms for a five star as most five stars i have stayed in the rooms are compact! the facilities.the food, the bar with its nightly entertainment and the great team the general manager has put together.Ma Angeles Martinez(GM) who i meet during the stay is a skilled professional in running a great hotel for business and pleasure.

I have just returned from a girls trip for 4 nights to this hotel. This is my third visit to this hotel and it is always fanatastic. We were lucky and we were upgraded to the Villas, these are amazing, very spacious with a large Queen size bed,en suite bathroom, all complete with Molton Brown products. You also get a huge lounge with kitchen and a private terrace overlooking the private pool. We spent our days laying by the communal pool, as it is heated and the restaurant and bar is close by. We ate in Ombu which is the hotel's thai restaurant. This was fantastic, great service, great food and a beautiful setting in the gardens. We ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel too which is always good and the pool side restaurant has an amazing choice. I have 2 small negative comments though I'm afraid to say. The hotel has a lovely terrace bar which overlooks the pool and is lovely for a drink in the evenings, but the outside tables and chairs were very scruffy and need some updating, comfy sofas would be great. Secondly, pool side service during the day wasn't great and you often had to go into the restaurant to get someone to serve you. As I said little comments but still love this hotel and will definately be back.

Thank you for choosing us over and over again and for taking the time to post your comments online.

We are delighted that you enjoyed our Villas, the service, and overall, our magnificent reopened Ombú (our prestigious Thai). Do you know it is only open from June to September? Therefore it is wonderful to read that most of our guests get the chance to try it and fall in love with it.

Regarding the rest of your comments, thank you for sharing, and I am glad to let you know that the bar tables will be replaced once the new ones come from where they are being tailor made. When you come back, you will experience them and chances are that you will not want to leave them! Oh, and about the pool service, please accept my sincere apologies, we had a bit of a hiccup regarding said service, but it is completely taken care of.
