“Beautiful, peaceful surroundings yet within reach of many interesting places”
Reviewed 21 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We loved everything about Villa Allegria. It was clean, modern and had lovely soft towels and modern comforts such as a dishwasher and a nice oven. It felt like a home from home. The area was very quiet and had lovely views from the balconies of the mountains. It's in a very remote area however within reach to places of interest too. We stayed for 5 days with a 6 month old baby and during our stay we visited Venice, Verona, Lake Garda and the Dolomiti Mountains. The area is absolutely stunning and the nearby village of Asolo is definitely worth a visit. We went to have a look around during the day and went back during the evening. In the evening Asolo really comes to life and has many lovely restaurants. Overall would highly recommend.

“Felt at home at Villa Allegra”

We had a beautiful stay at Villa Allegra in Monfumo for 5 nights with our 3 children. We had been travelling in Italy for about 2 weeks so when we arrived in Monfumo it was just delightful. The town is very small, they don't even sell bread and milk, but you are nestled in among the residents in the region. The villa is very clean and spacious and very peaceful with a lovely outlook. Having a washer and dryer was also a luxury given we were travelling with children. (not to forget the dishwasher too) We were travelling with a car and the lock up garage was very secure, as was the villa. We loved exploring the region and each town we visted was not far at all and we would also pick up groceries etc. The wifi access was great too. Steffi the lady who manages the property was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. If you want to live like the locals in Italy I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

“delightful discovery”

Villa Allegria is well situated in the Asoline hills but away from the traffic and congestion of Asolo. It's rare to find such a modern, well managed and up to date rental. Whether you walk 5 minutes up the hill in this residential community, or drive almost anywhere within 45 minutes, the surrounding countryside is full of unexpected pleasures. There are many tempting spots close by for dining, and several others well worth exploring while you enjoy the small towns that dot the low hills (not to mention Prosecco country across the river in Valdobiaddene). While the 3 bedrooms, all upstairs, are not large and the "villa" is actually a very attractive townhome, it has its own garage, is handsomely appointed and very efficient and comfortable. In our view more suited for couples or a family with one or two smaller children trhan for a larger group. The feel is definitely residential. The town of Monfumo is obviously attracting many new residents; there is a handsome new school, restaurants that far exceed expectations for a "wide place in the road," and splendind views of Monte Grappa. Ona clear day, you can see all the way to the Euganean hills from the church up the street. Be sure to take your GPS and just lose yourself on the country roads. Pack light and use the washer and dryer. Yes, Asolo is only 5 minutes away, but you may well enjoy the "towns you never heard of" even more. Whatever you do, don't miss dining at Baggio, 5 minutes away.

“Peaceful stay at Villa Allegria in Monfumo”

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Allegria. Monfumo is a lovely small village amongst rolling green hills. We were two couples and found the villa very comfortable for the five nights we stayed. The sleeping area is upstairs and the living area with laundry and extra bathroom is downstairs. Although the owner was away she organised a contact who helped us settle in and was close by if we need help. Having the kitchen stocked with food basics was really helpful. This is a great non touristy base for exploring a beautiful part of the Veneto. I found Villa Allegria on TripAdvior and found the rental was very easy to organise with Margo, the owner. I highly recommend this villa if you are travelling though this area.
