The Grand Hyatt will be great when they finally manage to get rid of the fumes and in the property. My first room had an unbearable smell, and I had to get a different room assigned which was better but still not perfect.

The breakfast selection was 95% the same every day. There were very minor changes to the dishes, and what was there seemed a bit dried out and not fresh. Wasn't great to wake up to this 4 mornings in a row.

Staff were very welcoming and pleasant, but the location of the hotel is a bit far from the main BGC offices.

Overall a decent hotel, but feels like it's still ramping up.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get a room smelling of fumes.

A stunning new Hotel in what is a newly developed and developing area in Manila. That said, location is important in Manila in terms of logistics and if you are doing business in this area then fine if not be flexible with your travel times. The Hotel itself is beautifully appointed, the rooms are brilliant, Stylish and practical as well. Breakfast is outstanding as it the overall level of service. My only gripe is that that the front desk are not able to exchange foreign currency and there is no ATM's readily available. Note for travellers, prior to getting to the Phillipines ensure to download the APP Grab, the Philippine version of Uber (Uber no longer available in the Philippines).

Room Tip: Higher floors offer even better views

Our company had a conference here this week and I was looking forward to enjoying my overnight stay. I was not disappointed.

The lobby is impressive with a modern design featuring marble, steel and glass.

From the moment I stepped out of the car, the staff immediately greeted me and quickly took my luggage. Check in was a breeze and my request for late check-out was immediately processed.

The room given to me was for twin sharing and it was uniquely designed. Wood panels and flooring was mixed with glass and steel. The corridor bissected the twin beds. The bed and the large down pillows provided restful sleep, a requirement for a very good hotel. The light fixtures on the table and bedside had unique soft touch on/off switch. Yes, I had fun turning the lights on and off. Lol

There were 2 bathrooms! One bathroom has a vanity and a shower stall. Another bathroom also had a vanity and a bathtub/shower. The toilet was in its own room with its own sink! No waiting to shower and use the vanity means no stress for the guests!

I also had a spacious closet to store 2 luggages, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, laundry bag, shoe brush, and a safe.

Hyatt upped the complimentary coffee by providing ILLY brand capsule coffee maker, with both decaf and espresso options. Tea options were Twinings.

The Grand Ballroom had an impressive chandelier design (see picture). The wait staff were discreet but provided quick service.

The Grand Kitchen, where we had breakfast, arranged their stations in a rectangle in the middle, with the tables surrounding it. So it is easy to access all the different food stations. They provided Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, other Asian menu, as well as continental choices. Again, the staff was very alert, accommodating, and anticipated my needs.

I was not able to check the pool or other amenities. But with what I have seen so far and experienced, I would go back for a staycation.

My first experience at Grand Hyatt exceeded my wildest expectations, and I travel quite a bit on business. The environment and service at hotel are exceptional and really enchanting. I will ensure the Grad Hyatt Manila is my first choice going forward.

The hotel is so new, don't be perplexed if your room ends up smelling like wood lacquer and paint. That was probably the worst part of my 3 day stay here. The food itself was so-so. Not bad at all, but also, not very premium. This food review was only for the breakfast and dinner buffet.

The staff is beyong 5-star. They're absolutely impeccable and premium. They are amazing and should be commended.

The elevator was interesting. It got stuck a few times in the beginning fo the trip. The same faulty lift appeared to be OK after day 2.

Overall, this is an excellent property.
