“Kenegie Manor”
Reviewed 7 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very spacious apartment. It was ideal for our family of five. The master bedroom had plenty of room for our baby's travel cot and the second bedroom was great for our two boys. The onsite indoor swimming pool was a big bonus too and we enjoyed our visit to the beach near Pendeen Lighthouse.

“Fantastic stay kenegie manor”
Reviewed 5 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I had a fantastic stay at the manor . Darren the owner was brilliant and very accommodating . I have two teens and a newborn and the stay was perfect for us all . The manor had everything you could ask for it was like staying in the comfort of your own home . The kids enjoyed the tennis court and the swimming pool which is a fab bonus to have on site. The location was perfect a short distance from st Michael mount , st Ives, cabris bay and lands end all the places we really enjoyed visting . Look forward to returning to the manor next year

“Lovely apartment”

We had a lovely stay at Kenegie Manor, the apartment was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed and more. Good facilities, pool, hot tub, sauna, on site too. It was easy to book and the owner responded quickly.
In a lovely location, you can walk into Penzance or many of the tourist attractions are a short drive from Kenegie.
It was a real home from home and we will definitely be back next time we head to Penzance

“Beautiful apartment for our St Ives family summer beach holiday”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in July 2016

Our family (my wife, son 1 1/2, daughter 7 and I) travelled from London to stay at this apartment for our summer holiday, it was perfect for our family. The renovated apartment is in a beautiful heritage building with high ceilings and large windows letting in so much light and air. The bedrooms were lovely also, main bedroom is very large.

For us, the summer holiday was all about St Ives and the beaches. I was a little sceptical at first for not staying in St Ives but I was completely proven wrong, the location was perfect for St Ives and its beaches.

It was a beach holiday for us so we were to spend all our days at the beach in St Ives and Carbis Bay. Some of the days we had to stay in due to rain - this apartment was perfect for those rainy days - lots of lovely light in a very large living / dining / kitchen area for the family to enjoy each other's company.

Access to the beaches: we chose St Ives Porthminster beach and Carbis Bay beach to spend our time during our holiday. The days we wanted to go to St Ives Porthminister beach we caught the train - park and ride at St Erth such great fun catching the train with the family - only thirteen minutes on the train and such a beautiful train journey. The train also took us direct Carbis Bay beach in nine minutes, last stop before St Ives. Also there is a direct rural backroad from the apartment to Carbis Bay beach car park - so easy and no traffic. You can take this road on to St Ives, further 6 min drive.

The apartment is located just up the road from a Sainsbury's superstore, perfect for a self catering holiday. One of the evenings we invited our family friends with their children over for dinner who were staying at St Ives - there was plenty of room to have such a family dinner all together, it was perfect.

In conclusion, lovely apartment only a short distance from St Ives and its surrounding beautiful beaches. I would love to stay again here with my family.

“Spacious but moldy and a bit dirty”
Reviewed 14 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The bathroom was moldy we had to bleach and wash the bathroom completely. The furniture was badly stained and dirty.
The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor and so we used additional towels to keep the water from getting into the apartment floor structure. The rubber bath mat was rotted and disgusting.
We arrived and the key to the apartment was missing. After wandering around for an hour we found another guest who called the landlord. The landlord had switched our room but didn't tell us and didn't give us the new code to open the lockbox where the key was.
The apartment is an excellent location and size. But the mold, dirty dining chairs and couches left us more than dissatisfied.
At the end of the rental the rental manager's tried to scam us out of 35 GBP. He claimed we had left food in the refrigerator (yes we left unopened new food for the cleaning service), used extra towels (to mop up the mess in the bathroom) and a load of unwashed dishes in the dishwasher (he left 5 packets of detergent for 8 days and the dishes in the cupboard were soiled)
TripAdvisor resolved the issue in our favor but it left even more of a sour taste in our mouths.

Unfortunately our relationship with these guests from the USA didn't get off to a great start and admittedly the key to the property had accidentally been left in the wrong key safe by the cleaner. This meant that the guests were not able to access their accommodation for approximately 30 minutes and they were extremely angry about this. We did apologise profusely for the mistake and even gave the guests an additional bottle of wine to apologise. The bathroom at the property is not mouldy. There was some staining on the dining room chairs from a long summer season that has now been remedied. The guests left some unopened food in the fridge and on the kitchen worktops, but most was opened half used food with food spillages on the worktops and floor. The property is self catering and supplies are left for a full 7 day holiday including a dishwasher tablet per day. These guests used their supply and then rather than request more from ourselves or buy some more they choose not to wash up from about day 5/6 of their holiday. The guests additionally removed towels from a private wardrobe marked as such and used approximately 11extra towels. The £35 cleaning charge was in our view reasonable in the circumstances representing 35% of the £100 deposit held. This was the first time in 10 years of holiday letting that we have ever decided to withhold deposit monies.
