This is a wonderful house. Very clean and tidy.We just loved it !
Close to tne beach.
Even if you do not have a car,you can buy a buscard and go to Dover, Hastings or wherever you wish.
The beach is just some footsteps away, and it is wonderful.
Especially at sunset , when you jump in the waves, and horses and dogs run across the beach
Two families of 3 1/2 (two toddlers and two infants) for a long weekend together. We really enjoyed the apartment and location very close to the beach. Even in winter the beach was lovely - wide and sandy - great dunes and the little garden was perfect to play in. Stair gates were very handy and the upper space great for watching kids play and sit at table or cook.
Lots of dog walkers at the beach and a lot of closed restaurants were the only drawback we saw ... but that was clearly linked to the out of season timing.
This is a brilliant place for a family holiday. The house is great and has everything you could need. There is a very handy utility room and entrance on the ground floor, where you can leave all your sandy boots and wet coats before going into the main part of the house. There is parking for three cars which is very useful. The house is really comfortable and very well equipped. The sandy beach is massive and the dunes are amazing and so close. Our grandchildren loved it. There are a couple of small supemarkets within easy walking distance and a short drive away is an excellent farm shop. There is also a very good Indian takeaway that delivers to your door and a fish and chip shop nearby. Hastings is a short drive away where there are lots of things to do. Rye is a lovely town and Rye Castle is a very interesting place that is free entry for children and only £3 per adult. It is also a very pretty place to just walk around and there is a good fresh fish mongers on the quay on the road out towards Camber. Dungeness is a great place to go if you like wide open windswept places and you can always go for a ride on the little train that runs from Dymchurch through to Dungeness. There is also a very nice welcoming pub at Dungeness. The house is quite close to Pontins where you can buy a day pass for use of all the facilities, including the pool, for £5 per person which could prove to be very handy if you had a wet day and didn’t know what to do with the kids. We would definitely recommend this place for a family holiday.
We booked Seadrift for a week of family fun with our young grandchildren and their parents.
It totally lived up to expectations , a few minutes walk to the beach and house was beautifully equipped with its themed seaside decoration .
It was the perfect location for a seaside holiday with young children.
The owners could not have been more attentative to our needs , they made us feel very welcome and the nice touches like the welcome package contributed to our feeling of being valued guests. So thank you . Would we go back , yes we would !
We loved our stay at Seadrift. As a family of four with two young boys everything we could have possibly needed was thought of, including a shed full of beach toys. The hammock was a big hit too!
The living area was big, airy and spacious and has beautiful views reaching to the top of the sand dunes, watching the sun go down was pretty spectacular.
A thoroughly lovely place to stay, we hope to visit again soon.
