“The holiday home you wished you owned”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

When I arranged my family holiday (wife and two children 5 and 2.5) I searched for a house with close beach access and came up with Marshview Cottage. What clinched the deal was the arrival and leaving dates of Friday, which meant that my wife only required leave from a Saturday job for one weekend. I had never been to Camber and so didn't know what to expect but found the beach was fantastic, the children would have been happy playing there for the whole week, very safe sea bathing and well supervised by a team of Beach Rangers. There is food everywhere at reasonable prices but, beware, no 'free' cash points, only the £1.75 to £2 per transaction versions. Marshview Cottage was perfect. So clean and tidy we were tip-toeing around for the first few minutes so as not to disturb the image. The house was very well equipped with kitchen stuff and the sight of the bikes in the shed made me regret bring the kids. The two toilets were a boon with young children and the firm, controllable shower made the perfect end to a hard day. I am afraid that I was rather selfish with the generous welcome basket and scoffed all the biscuits and scones before the children saw them. I was thinking of their health, honestly. The open view of the marsh and wind farm to the rear gave a sense of calm each morning, except on the one day when the rains descended. Apart from the beach, we did not have to travel more than 15 miles to reach a range of attractions ranging from medieval cellars to light railways, it was an ideal centre. We shall certainly return to Marshview!

“Superb seaside retreat”
Reviewed 27 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

One of the nicest places we have stayed, such attention to detail and obviously done with great care and thought . Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, everything and more you could ever need for a seaside holiday.
The welcome basket was amazing and the dogs can vouch for that too!!!
Quiet location and a very short stroll to the lovely Camber Sands which has plenty of restriction free sand for dogs.......The walk into Rye is a must, excellent food in the Ypres and the Standard, both very dog friendly as is a lot of the lovely shops.
Great communication from Tony & Sue, can't recommend Marsh View enough.......the view over the marshes at sunrise is worth going for alone.....
Only one problem........ We couldn't stay longer !!!
We will be back, thank you

The owners think of everything, comprehensive information prior to arrival, comprehensive information on arrival. A well stocked fridge and a hamper for both us humans and for our dogs as well. The house is stocked with every ingredient to guarantee whatever beach activity you wish to engage in. Bicycles, rackets, beach chairs, windbreaks and an insulated picnic backback amongst other things. We defy you to identify something that the owners have forgotten.

“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed 23 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I cannot praise this accommodation highly enough. The house is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The linen and towels are high quality and the owners have put a great deal of thought in providing everything we could possibly need to make our stay successful. In particular the 'goodies' left which included a basket local produce, milk, eggs butter, wine and even lovely treats for our dog. What a welcome after a long drive!. The house is situated in a very quiet spot a short walk to the dunes and the wonderful sandy beach where our dog had great fun. It is by far the best holiday rental we have every been to.
