Very expensive for the small meal provided. Staff ordinary, obviously not properly trained. Hardly ever open!

We were just about done with our coffee and still waiting for our muffin. No one said anything about it so we assumed it had been forgotten. When we asked we were told curtly that it was in the oven!
Then saw it go by on a plate to be warmed up. Totally unfriendly and unhelpful, certainly wasn't worth the wait.

At first glimpse this little place is not overly prepossessing, tucked away up some stairs with a few tables both in and out, and facing the carvan park, but the food is superb! It comprised one of the best-cooked calamari my partner reports ever trying (and she reckons she's a calamari aficionado), and my slow-cooked lamb and vegie sandwich, both truly excellent. The service was friendly and we are unanimous in highly commending it to you.

Just a small cafe in a small village which can be good or not so good. It was Sunday lunch time on a sunny day at the beach when we decided to try the Ocean Street Diner. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the pleasant day. Sadly the courtyard is run down, the paving needed sweeping, the furniture needed painting and the pot plants had almost shrivelled up. We should have moved inside which had an eclectic shabby sheik decor.
I had a Japanese inspired salad of pickled ginger, canned tuna and wild rice with some sort of green stuff. My wife had polenta chips with a relish dip done that way to cater for her gluten intolerance. The original dish had a blue cheese sauce which did sound good. She did not enjoy it
Simply put it was disappointing with neither the food or the surroundings good enough these days to compete with most eateries.

We have stopped there before for coffee and cake (both were great) so decided this time to go there for a quick lunch. We were not disappointed. My partner had the frittata and I had a stuffed mushroom dish. Both were excellent...... The place is definitely unpretenious and well known in the area. Furthermore, it caters for various dietary needs. Coffee beans, relishes and jams are also for sale.

Definitely worth a try.....Oh and the staff are friendly, helpful and engaged!
