Stayed at the Alberto Paradiso January 2014 on a business trip. This family run friendly hotel was a very pleasant stay. Alberto and his wife made me very welcome. My room was spacious with a high standard of cleanliness. I would recommend and return.

A lovely little hotel in a typical small village in the hills near to Roma and Frascati. Our room was of a good size and had a balcony with really lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was adequate. All in all a good choice for an inexpensive stay if you're flying in to Rome and looking for a hotel away from the city (and near the vineyards).
Beware the entrance to the hotel - a ramp with a drop to the side, keep your nerve.

Albergo Paradiso is located in the small village of Montecompatri on a hilltop on the south of Rome. The village itself is a great place, with its own fabric of the real Italian life. Even if you are there for Rome, you may still want to take a few hours to visit the narrow streets of Montecompatri through old Italian houses. There is a good restaurant on the village square that offers Italian delicacies. As for the hotel, it was nice and clean, the staff was very professional and ever-smiling and offering help. The breakfast was very good, especially the Italian cakes. Montecompatri is somewhat away from the Rome city center, and public transportation is problematic, but if you are with a car, then it is OK. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and we really enjoyed it.
