“Super, well equipped, very comfortable village house in lovely surroundings.”
Reviewed 26 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Beautiful village location with wonderful walks. The bread shop, butcher's, fruit shop just around the corner. Two lovely restaurants and cafes within walking distance and a great location for visiting Carcassonne, the Canal du midi, the coast and many beautiful castles and caves. The house boasts a beautiful secluded courtyard and is well furnished with everything you need for a great holiday.

“Wonderful stay in a fantastic house”
Reviewed 9 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

After so many holidays when either the house or its location was not quite up to scratch it was an absolute joy to open the gate and find this pretty house - a hidden gem in every sense! Inside was lovely; tastefully decorated rooms providing contemporary comfort whilst retaining so much of the character of this wonderful old property. We loved it! After outings with the kids to various beaches (Guisson, Le Franqui and the lake just outside Carcassonne called Cavayere) we returned in the evenings to the peace and relative cool of the pretty courtyard where we enjoyed some great family BBQs washed down with plenty (too much!) of the delicious local wines. The village itself was a proper working French village with real French people! It had all the amenities we needed but was wonderfully free of the flocks of tourists that have slightly spoiled some of our French holidays in the past, particularly in Provence. All in all we loved the house and the area.

“superbe!”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Loved the look of the property when we saw it online and when we arrived it did not disappoint. Tthe accommodation is superb with all you need to make your stay comfortable and stress free. In the heart of the village with easy access to the boulangerie, boucherie and the wee fruit shop. Enjoyed our coffees at Ki Ki's, the local cafe. There are things to do every week as displayed on the digital board near le Mairie. The Tuesday evening soirees with food and entertainment were brilliant and everyone was so welcoming... even at our attempts to understand the nouances of Petanque!
Would love to return to such and interesting area. It never fails to reveal something new.

Delighted you enjoyed the house and the area so much. Even though we have owned the property for some three years it looks like you managed to get far more involved with our local village community than we have - work to be done! We look forward to welcoming you back on another occasion and thank you again for choosing our property and for being such excellent guests. Kind regards. Rolland & Andrea

“A hidden gem indeed”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a really lovely stay in this tranquil traditional French village house which is beautifully furnished, well equipped and well maintained. Perfect to sit outside in the pretty courtyard garden enjoying a glass of wine and the bbq or breakfast coffee and the best croissants ever from the boulangerie just five minutes walk away. The village is a perfect location as a base for visiting other local towns and markets within easy reach and the village has a butcher, boulangerie, grocery shop, a couple of good restaurants and a bar all within a few minutes walk from the house. A gourmet food and wine tour with Vin en Vacances was excellent. We will definitely book this property again.

“Awesome property!!!”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Woderful holiday gite, in a very friendly village in the heart of Minervois wine growing region.
You only need to take a change of clothing, every thing else is completely provided.
The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a toilet, and bathroom on each floor.
The master bedroom at the top floor, has patio doors leading out on to a sun trap balcony cut into a portion of the roof space.
Even "British sized pillows" provided for a good nights sleep. Great heating on the chilly nights
Very handily located for trips to Carcassone, Narbonne, Bezier, Perpignan and all points of southern France, or into Spain. Great for visiting the Midi Canal and its various workings.
Locally the walk to the restored "Moulin" is worth the stroll, with a sampling of the very local wine available and to be purchased to be carried home in the rucksack
Great bar and very good artisan Pizzaria next door, with great restaurants just up the road and around the corner. Wine caves abound with free tasting and great conversations regarding the growing of the grapes and caring for the land.
Lovely visits to the beach, or to the local lake just down the road to feed the left over bread to the wild fowls and swans.
Friendly local shops with,as always in France, an artisan baker.
Reasonably sized Carrefore10 mins down the road, passing a great fresh veg and fruit stall on the way.
All in all a superb place to holiday in locally, or use as a base for visiting the area.
