Had a excellent time with Alan and Omar, they took us to a few amazing spots water was crystal clear, if you never snorkel before it be great, got to see sea turtles, stingray and all kinds of fish. Got to jump from a rock. Plenty of rum punch, beers, soft drinks and water. Had some snacks and lunch was delicious.

We took this excursion while in port on RC Allure.Loved going to multiple locations to snorkel. Captain and First Mate Omar were very attentive to the guests, tended to our snorkel gear and assisted at all times, if needed! Enjoyable to only have 15 on the boat-easy on and off at each stop, and not crowded in the water. Guides noted points of interest but allowed us the freedom to explore. Lunch and drinks provided too! Fun to go ashore at Pinel Island and see the iguanas. Boat ride to and from snorkeling was just as fun! Great excursion for families. Highly recommend. Thank you Captain Alan Charter for a fun-filled day!

We had stopped at Saint Maarten on our Carnival cruise and had pre-booked the four hour Captain Alan's three islands online. We took the shuttle from the cruise port to Oyster Pond where we met Captain Alan. We discovered that we were the only two booked for that day (usually there are up to 16 pax on board!).

We took off from Oyster Pond and saw some of the devastation that Irma and Maria had done to the island. Having the boat all to ourselves made us feel that this was a private custom tour we had booked! We sped off with the boat bouncing across the waves and getting a little wet as we sat in front. All great fun.

Our first stop was Tintemarre Island (nature reserve) where we jumped off into the water and relaxed in the water with pool noodles. We chatted with Captain Alan in the water and he told us about the storms and the damage the hurricanes had done.

Next stop was to snorkel. I decided against snorkelling so I sat in the boat relaxing whilst hubby - who is a novice - went into the water with Captain Alan. They came back and hubby was over the moon with some of the sights he saw under water. Thousands of different kinds of fish - unfortunately the sea turtles were not out that day.

Then onto Pinel Island. The boat stopped just offshore where Captain Alan made us some delicious ham and cheese croissants and ciabatta rolls for lunch. Then we jumped off the boat into the water which was waist height for me (I'm short!). We waded through the water and onto the beach where we visited the gift shop and had a beer and wine in the beach bar. There is a photo opportunity here with the iguanas coming to say hello to you. One thing to mention, take a pair of flip flops off the boat with you. The sand is VERY hot and burns the soles of your feet.

When Captain Alan sounded the horn, we knew it was time to get back to the boat and again we waded waist high from the beach back onto the boat and then a very speedy and exciting ride back through the bumpy waves to Oyster Pond.

In summary, the service and camaraderie of Captain Alan, the views from the sea, the colour of the water and the beaches were absolutely mind blowing. Being the only two on this tour, Captain Alan could easily have said he had to cancel as it surely couldn't have been cost effective having to do this tour for just two people. So ... thank you so much for this - we really appreciated this as it was our only day in Saint Maarten.

We would both 100% recommend this tour to everyone.

My family of three booked the six hour tour on June 19 when the Disney Fantasy was docked in St. Maarten. The hospitality, service, and kindness of Captain Alan and Jamal were exceptional. Our 10 year old got tired while snorkeling and Captain Alan didn’t hesitate to pull up anchor and give him a lift to the beach. Jamal was so good with all the kids - he played catch, doled out snacks and drinks, and showed them how to keep warm during a downpour by hanging out in the water up to their chins. The process of booking the tour and arranging transportation to Oyster Pond was simple and fast, and we made it back to the Fantasy in plenty of time.

This was the best thing we did in St. Maarten! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND CAPTAIN ALAN!!
We did multiple stops and were able to enjoy every one. We had Captain Alan and Omar. They were super friendly and easy going. They actually think about their clients, making stops after a 30 min ride as we got close to Anguilla as it might be too long of a ride for some. They allowed us to stretch and swim.

Alan said every time we stop it would be even more beautiful than the last one, and he was not lying! We saw multiple fishes, sea turtles, star fishes, manta rays. It was overcast but that didn’t take away the beauty at all. You could still see clearly everything. The mud bath was awesome, it really does make you feel 20 yrs younger.

Lunch was nice and light. Sandwiches of ham or turkey, fruit, pasta salad and drinks.

We stopped at a rock and were able to climb it and jump off. (MUST HAVE WATER SHOES unless your feet are rock hard or used to the rocks which Omar’s are so he did climb up barefoot) Omar helped me up and let me tell you the view up on the rock was pretty breathtaking. Jumping down was pretty cool too, and it’s deep enough so no need to worry about that.

My favorite thing after the snorkeling was riding up front in the boat as we would go from Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean. Waves and swells are much higher. Felt like a roller coaster. (FYI at least for my trip, heading out to Anguilla the wet seat is on the right, the seat on the captains side and coming back the wet seat was on the left of the boat. When you catch the swells it sprays up.)

In conclusion... BOOK THIS TOUR!!!
Even the locals were saying it was a very good tour. I mean, cmon, even the LOCALS.
YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST.
(And hurricane Irma didn’t do any damage to the beaches so no need to worry about that either.)
