Description: Maggie's Cafe was brought to life when South African owner Riaan and his Canadian partner Cailin were having trouble finding a place to take their American Staffy, Maggie. In the heart of Green Point, Maggie's Cafe is a home away from home serving cafe style food with a cheffy twist. We have an extensive wine menu, created by our General Manager, and offer take away beer and wine.

We came here only because our first two choices in the close vicinity were busy but gladly Maggie’s was a little less full but the food did not disappoint at all!

Great choice on the menu, decent value and opposed to one of the other reviews I have read on here, we was allowed full flexibility on changing the items on the full breakfast.

I recommend and this restaurant can sit proudly alongside the other contenders on this road.

Thank John D

I have been there a couple of times as the food used to be quite good however the last visit was disappointing. Firstly, the service has never been the fastest but this time it was really slow, especially when they were on 2 tables and 2 servers ! The food was not good at all, the fries soggy and what should be Canadian's pride dish, the Poutine, is a sorry affair, soggy fries, tasteless gravy, no cheese curls and is topped with pulled pork !!

We decided to stop for breakfast with kids. We wanted to get an additional hash brown to the breakfast but they could not accomodate... it's not like we were not willing to pay... so we were disappointed from that perspective. Coffee was nice and omelette was nice.

The place had a quant look, we decided to try it. The service was terrible!!!
The waitress just kept on forgetting things we asked for which becomes frustrating when you wanna enjoy yourself.
The weather was emasculate so nothing stood in the way of the perfect breakie, I ordered sparkling water and the glass was dirty, then the knife&fork arrived dirty.
I asked 4 x for butter&jam for my toast (which is customary in South Africa to serve it with toast)
The food was nice and of good quality - just wish the service was better.

The owner needs to train the staff how to "wait on tables". Give good Service
Unfortunately the world is better informed and a lot of people are well travelled!

I would have been a regular but now I probably won't attend again :(

Great little cafe in central location with well priced tasty dishes. Good variety on menu, fair sized portions. Service is good with customer satisfaction being a priority. Nice casual eatery and drinking hole.
