“Excellent townhouse with everything you need for a short or long stay.”
Reviewed 2 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Excellent accommodation in a central location, easy walking distance to a bakery, butchery, newsagent, chemist, small supermarket, post office, tourism office, etc. About a 15-20 minute walk (or a short drive) to a large supermarket. The town of Realmont was also a great base for exploring the area. We made day trips to places like Albi, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Carcassonne, Lautrec and others. We loved being able to return to our comfortable accommodation and sit out in the private courtyard with a wine (or two) after a day out. The only thing I would highlight for others is that the stairs up to the second bedroom with ensuite bathroom are not easy to negotiate for anybody who has mobility difficulties or for the elderly or for very young children.

“Perfect location, lovely accommodation”
Reviewed 21 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The town house is a lovely property, in the heart of Realmont, a beautiful little town.
The house is very comfortable and well equipped. John and Sonia welcomed us and made sure we knew where everything was, what was around the area, and generally were the most perfect hosts. And after a long day (rounded off with a beer at the Swing Bar) we sat on the private terrace, gazing at the beautifully clear night sky.
Market day in Realmont on Wednesday was delightful; the hustle and bustle of the market totally opposite to the relaxing place the town square the rest of the week.
We will certainly visit again and look forward to staying at the Town House.
Highly recommended and excellent value!

The Furness family are delightful. We have no hesitancy in recommending them as extremely thoughtful and lovely people. Meeting them was a pleasure and before leaving they did a remarkable cleaning job.

“Relaxing and Refreshing”

What a wonderful find, The Town House has everything that you need for a Relaxing and Refreshing stay.
Well laid out building, everything you may need is supplied by the owners (not food) comfortable bed and great shower with a cracking terrace.
Good wifi.

If you arrive at the weekend a lot of the shops may be closed, worth bring essentials with you.

Realmont is a quiet town, not many restaurants but the Pizza place 'Le Realbon' is a must.
The boulangerie in the main square is good as are the charcuterie.
Wednesday transforms Realmont into a busy place with the most fantastic market, not to be missed.
The closest bar is 'The Swing Bar' lots of fun, sit outside, enjoy.

Realmont is well placed for all the sites that you need to go to, good bus service as well.

Happy to recommend the Town House, memorable two weeks.

Joan and James were ideal guests - with enthusiasm for our house, the town and the area. They looked after the plants on the terrace as well as others inside during a hot, dry period. When they left we found they had taken care to clean the property and leave it as they had found it. This couple are warm, out-going people who clearly enjoy travelling. We have no hesitation in recommending them as guests.

What a lovely place to stay, functional with everything you need as a base to explore real French France . Loft bedroom with own bathroom and another at main floor level with twins beds and another bathroom.the courtyard has shade and is a great private space to eat ,drink and chill.
The local markets, nearby villages, cycle track: green road, coffee shops and bar, there's even a brand new supermarket.theres a tourism bureau in the square but there's also plenty of info in the house along with extensive shelves full of good books. The Wifi works very well.
Thanks to John and Sonia who ensured we were welcomed with bottle of wine and flowers and some useful food stuff to start us off.
The local people are all very friendly and patient with my attempt to speak French.
There is a lovely little pizza place on the corner and we sat on their deck to eat.
The time of year we were there is when there's a few festivals on which were amazing, along with the architecture in Albi and Castres. Loutrec was really special.
I hope to return some time.

It was a pleasure meeting Shirley and Jane, delightfully positive people who had every intention of enjoying this corner of France and clearly succeeded in exploring its beauty and vitality. We're happy you enjoyed your fortnight here. Thank you both for looking after the house and the plants during a very hot spell and leaving it as clean as you found it. We hope you will return one day.

“Great stay for a group of four”

A party of 4 (2 couples) stayed for the week. Great little spot as handy for the shops. The house has everything you need and the court yard is good for dining outside. The wifi was very good. The local bus to Albi and Castres is cheap and reliable. We received good advice from John and Sonia contacted us to check we had enjoyed our holiday. I was a bit concerned about parking the car in the alley but it was all fine. No problems as it is wider than it looks on google maps.
