Was worried when I booked , you always are when you're responsible for the group booking, but, needent have worried , Ian and Debbie were very welcoming to our party, dining table set out with home made scones, cream and Jam, a lovely welcome card and a bottle of Prosecco, the house it's self is beautiful and furnished as a home, kitchen great and table easily seeted 8 of us for breakfast and dinner, barbecue available which we used both nights of our stay, the rooms were all very spacious and clean, situated in the middle of the village across from the duck pond, very idilic and relaxing. Everyone enjoyed their stay at the old school house Wereham. Lovely place.
A truly special place, "A little piece of heaven." We would recommend this to other families looking for a relaxing holiday. The cottage had everything and was well served by the local pub on the other side of the village pond. The owners were delightful and made us all very welcome.
We go away as an extended family each year and have rated this house compared to the last few years. The location is great with it being just opposite a lovely local pub.
The property itself could do with some updating, but it was clean and loads of kitchen equipment and crockery.
It's not clear in the description but the house does not have a garden other than a couple of metres leading up to the front door. However, there is a park right next door which our boys loved.
Dogs are welcome but there is no sign (or smell) of this do non dog owners should not be put off.
What a lovely setting for a house that caters really well for 5 adults. A large lounge was ideal to relax in after a long day visiting areas of Norfolk, and although we never got to use the log burning stove, I can imagine that it would be great on those colder evenings to add o the charm of the place. Would love to visit again.
We booked the old school house for the weekend and it was lovely. The bedrooms are so comfortable and downstairs there is a big kitchen with a long table for the whole family to sit round and drink too much wine. The living room is a really comfortable space with a big fireplace so although we went in summer I am sure it would be great in winter as well. The owners are lovely and they live right next door. They were very kind and let us bring our dog as he is very well behaved and doesn't like being left behind!
