“Location, Location, Location:”

We were a family of four who stayed in Mallard View for 4 nights over the Easter period. The location is superb and is directly on the water which provides lovely scenery whilst being very quiet. It is about a 10 minute walk into the village centre and the local pubs, restaurants etc.
We had a day boat included in the price and this is something that we would highly recommend. We used it on all 4 days of our mini break and got to see some beautiful parts of the broads. It is moored up very close to the accommodation and is easy to use. Mallard View is a new property with all of the modern amenities and has a beautiful balcony and decking to enjoy the views with a glass of wine or two!!
We had our black lab with us and the location makes it very easy to have a dog with you without intruding on non dog lovers.
It is worth noting that the WIFI is very slow and we didn't get a phone signal (O2) anywhere in Horning the whole time of our stay which actually was very pleasant but obviously may not suit everyone's needs.
Carol is very helpful with useful tips and is certainly worth chatting to for her local knowledge.

Our holiday at Mallard view was fantastic. Beautiful house fully equipped with every thing you could want. Was brilliant for our one year old grandson. Secure for him to run around on decking and not get out. Setting was peaceful away from main broad but still alot going on with lovely pubs nearby. Thanks to Carol for putting gate up and for stair gate in house. Carol was the perfect owner , very friendly and helpful. Have booked for next year already.

stayed here for the first time in may of 2013 people who own it where very nice and met us when we got there and where there in the week as well, was very happy with the set up of the house was like a home from home with washing machine and dish washer etc if there was one small thing I could change it would be more pans and baking trays in the kitchen but as I said that's only a small thing! also would recommend anyone with disabilities (and dogs!) to stay there.

“Natures Little Secret”

Mallard View was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with our little dog Pip. The property is really quite lovely and provided everything we needed. Ducks swans and sail boats gave us an ever changing view. In the evening we walked the short distance into Horning, where we had a choice of 3 good restaurants, The Swan, The Staithe N Willow and my favourite The Bure River Restaurant. By day we found plenty to do. Sailing obviously, nature watching (Red Kites, Cuckoos and Marsh Harriers) amongst many others birds, trips to the seaside, Sea Palling is the nearest approx. 8 miles and has a lovely beach. Seal watching at Horsey Beach, were just a few of the things we did. All in all a very good holiday.....we will return.

“Mallard View- Stunning!”

We were amazed as soon as we arrived. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. We felt at home straight away. All the rooms were cosy and well heated. The cottage was set out brilliantly and had great views what ever the weather. It is a good base to see Norfolk by foot, car or boat. Carol the owner is a lovely lady, so very helpful! We hired a day boat from Carol which was the cheapest in the area. An absolutely smashing week was had by all, would go back tomorrow!
