“A beautiful flat in a perfect location.”
Reviewed 7 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a wonderful spring break in this perfectly located, beautifully furnished, clean flat. Our son and the dog both thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the beach. Dinner and service at the lodge was wonderful, and the comfortable chairs by the open fire were very welcoming. The portions at the mariner were generous and both restaurants are very close by.

“Location, location, location”

We spent our two week summer holiday in Flat 4 and loved it! The location is just excellent with the beach just five minutes away - parking for Old Hunstanton beach gets very busy so we felt rather smug wondering down to the beach as and when we felt like it!

We were drawn to Old Hunstanton as my husband kitesurfs (he wasn't disappointed). It really is a lovely beach and great for young children. It has good sandcastle building sand and shallow pools for the kids to play in when the tide is out so they can paddle safely. There's toilet and cafe facilities at the beach and a lifeboat station (with hovercraft and an amazing submersible tractor). On Sunday mornings the RNLI do their practice drills so you can wonder down and see the tractor, boat and hovercraft in action.

Flat 4 is charming with its eclectic furnishings and really felt like home whilst we were there. The apartment was very well and thoughtfully equipped and stocked with disposable items (for example, hand soap, washing up liquid, cling film etc). Books, DVDs and puzzles were also there to borrow. The main bedroom opens into a south facing communal garden which was lovely to sit in (when it was too windy on the beach - ideal for kitesurfing widows and orphans!) This glazed roundal was also great to sit in on rainy days whilst reading or tackling one of the puzzles.

We found plenty to do in addition to the beach. Snettisham Park, Holkham Hall, RSPB Titchwell, Sea life centre etc are all recommended. There's plenty of off-road bike riding to be had as there's plenty of byways, bridleways and tracks around after a short stint on the road (just buy an OS Map and use the Norfolk definitive map to mark it up as the signposting isn't the best). The Lodge is good for food and there's a nice walk to the White Horse in Holme by the sea (good value food and excellent kids play area).

We're thinking about booking for next year as we enjoyed our stay so much.

“A home away from home”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Flat 4 is a warm, comfortable and welcoming holiday experience. Mr Davis met us at the property and showed us around before leaving us to settle in. The flat is spacious and cosy, with ultra modern appliances and all conveniences laid on, no matter how small. Everything contributed to a very happy stay indeed (for a very reasonable rate!), and I wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend Flat 4 to others.

“All that we'd hoped for, and more besides”

This is a lovely flat with all the comforts and amenities that one hopes for in a holiday home, plus many extra touches that came as a pleasant surprise . The furnishing and decor are charming, and all done to a high standard. The personal welcome by Mr Davis, and the 'welcome pack', were very much appreciated. The location is quiet, but only a few minutes walk from the beach, the post office/shop, a family friendly pub, an excellent beach café/shop, and an arts, crafts and antiques centre. The photographers in our family walked to the beach nearly every evening, to take photos of the famous Hunstanton sunsets. We were very taken with the area, and hope to visit again.
