We stayed here for 3 nights. Lovely little cottage. We had two dogs and 2 people and it was sufficient space. Lovely lounge, Good size kitchen and double bedroom worth a wardrobe and chest of drawers. Also a lovely little patio area. If you lobe walking and have dogs then this is ideal as well as only a few minutes away you have Woodgreen common. The area was secluded and very peaceful; a great way to rejuvenate those batteries. Georgie, the host, was approachable and non intrusive, which was brilliant. She also left some lovely cookies. The area is ideal to explore the new forest and even go to the beach. Would really recommend this lovely little cottage. Just lovely.

“Lovely Little Cottage”

We stayed here for 3 nights with our dog and it was perfect for what we wanted. A nice little cottage with a log burner and easy access to walks and country pubs. The cottage is clean and looked after. The owner Georgie welcomed us with some homemade cookies and was not intrusive at all. There is a village shop 10 minutes walk away which stocks most things you'll need.

We'd love to stay again in the summer when it's not raining 24/7!

Top tip: visit the Bat & Ball pub, especially for dinner. Also try the Foresters Arms for lunch.

I booked this beautiful cottage last minute, (the morning of the day we stayed) Georgie was fantastic and replied straight away and offered me a very reasonable rate, she also offered me a discount if I brought my own bed linen, towels etc. Me and my fiancé and our 2 dogs stayed there for 1 night although we wish we could stay longer. Our dogs were welcomed with open arms and they loved it.
The log fire is so warm and within a few minutes the cottage is nice and warm. We watched a dvd and was pleased to find a decent size TV screen. The bed was super comfortable so we had a decent nights sleep. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone and can't wait to stay again.

My Husband and l stayed here with our dogs over Christmas. We found the accommodation good value for money. The village pub is only a 10 minute walk away, along with the shop. We also walked to The Bat & Ball pub which took 25 minutes.

“Cosy and Dog Friendly New Forest Cottage”

Small cottage in the most beautiful New Forest surroundings. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. The cottage itself is comfortable and has everything one would need (no oven, but we didn't find this a problem at all). Georgie positively welcomes dogs which was a major plus for us. The wood burner makes the cottage exceptionally cosy and kindling and logs are supplied and plentiful. The community village shop is wonderful and sells a huge range of high quality local produce. There is a nice (dog friendly) pub within easy walking distance and several more local recommendations. OS maps and walk suggestions are available for loan in the cottage. We had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The rental is very competitively priced for this area. Would definitely return. We thought Avon Vale a little gem!
