We enjoyed our stay at the Chapel very much. It is a lovely cottage and very well equipped. All you need is available. Clean. And quiet.
It is a perfect place to explore Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leistershire. There is a lot to see and do e.g. Stately homes, gardens, towns and even a ride with a train from bygone times is also within reach.
And after a day of exploring the area, it was a joy to come home to the Chapel.
Thank you for letting us stay

“Can't recommend enough!”

I stayed at The Chapel with my husband and 6 month old daughter in May 16. It was absolutely perfect for our first family break. It is in a great location within 5 minutes drive of Rutland Water and local amenities. The Chapel is beautifully decorated and they have made great use of the space. Colin, the owner, could not have done more to make our stay easier. We were able to make use of several items for our baby including a travel cot and bedding, baby bath, playmat and baby carrier to name but a few. This helped so much in packing up the car! We also made use of the DVD collection, local magazines and information leaflets about the local area and takeaways. Everything you could need for you stay is thought of. If I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate in booking another stay at The Chapel.

The Chapel is amazing. Clean, and bright with everything you could need. Very comfortable. Great base to explore the area. Would recommend it to couples or close friends as the two bedrooms are open plan so the only privacy is the bathroom. The village is worth a walk around to see the turf maze and the church. The kings arms does excellent food...we did book prior to our holiday so we were guarantee's a table on the Friday night as it gets very busy.
The Chapel is a great place to relax and do nothing but exploring the area is a treat.
Would love to come and stay again and go to the places we didn't have time for on this trip.
The only improvement I could suggest would be a big square shabby chiq type clock above the door.

Thank you for your review we're glad you enjoyed your stay and The Chapel was to your liking. We hope you will stay again soon. But it's a no to the clock I'm afraid! Modern day to day life is hectic enough without having time hanging over your head whilst you are on holiday! ☺

Cottage was very well fitted out with everything you could need - and everything worked! It was comfortable and immaculately clean. Loads of storage space.
Lots of up-to-date information provided about the area and things to do.
Could be a problem if there are more than two of you and you don't like open plan living, also a lot of steps.

Went to stay at the chapel last weekend. Was perfect get away. Me and my husband loved it. It's a beautiful traditional chapel with a modern feel. Perfect comfy bed and pillows. Perfectly pitch black at night, slept so well! It's set in the lovely rural village of wing. We took the dog for a walk across the fields was so lovely. Went to Rutland water and took the kids to a fantastic place called bugtopia was amazing loved every minute. Loved it all so much looking to get a second home there. The chapel had all you could need and a lovely wood burning fire. Very romantic. Five stars!
