“Absolutely superb!”

A fantastic cottage in a lovely location. Well equipped and furnished. Ideal for a relaxing week away but also lots of walks from the door for those looking for a more energetic holiday. Wonderful and would happliy stay there again.

“Immaculate, superbly equipped, comfortable, and quaint to boot!”
Reviewed 9 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The manager was friendly and helpful; the cottage comfortable, immaculate and equipped like our home; quiet and secluded, yet only 5 mins walk through village fields and paths to the well-stocked Co-op and local butcher; dining indoors or at table in pretty courtyard; shed for bikes; excellent walks from the front door through meadows, along beach and into forest as long or short as you need; cycling beautiful, on quiet country lanes through picturesque villages.

Just looked ahead at the questions and guess some folk would like to know that our children aged 11 and 14 happily shared double bed with pillows down the middle. And there are steps down into the gated courtyard from the car if serious mobility is an issue.

“A sunny week at sunnyside cottage”

A little gem of a place tucked away down some little steps on a quiet road. From the outside it looks very much a traditional cottage, but inside is very modern and comfortable- especially the beds! The courtyard garden was a suntrap and was a great place to have a BBQ and a glass of wine after a long day out walking. The kitchen had everything you could need, and we appreciated the use of the guide books available in the lounge.
It is ideally located by the lovely bay and near the RSPB reserve, great for walks and bird watching. Silverdale is a lovely location, and we had a great week
