Our family of four had a great stay at Lone Barn. Had everything we needed, beautifully decorated, well equipped and hosts very helpful. Nice local walks and good pub close by. Would certainly book again and recommend to others.
SHEER HEAVEN We stayed in Lone Barn over Christmas. Even when we drove up to the Barn, we were excited by its wonderfully secluded and stunning location.
On entering, we were blown over by the beautiful interior. The furnishings are beautiful and clearly the owner has an interior design background. The bedrooms had the highest quality Egyptian cotton sheets and I have never slept so well. There were gorgeous bubble baths and shower gels in the bathrooms and ample fluffy towels for everybody. We put three rather tall boys in the attic room (usually for children) and there was ample space. On each bed was a fluffy dressing gown and a beautifully wrapped pressie for everybody inside. The kitchen was very well-equipped and had all the latest gadgets that you would need. It is probably the only house that we have rented at Christmas where cooking was easy and a pleasure to cook Christmas dinner! The main room was wonderful and meant that we could all be together, whether studying at the dining table, chilling on the sofas or slogging over the oven! The wood stove provided a lovely atmosphere.
On our arrival, there was an array of homemade cakes, curds, chutneys and brownies. And everywhere we looked there were little treats. We felt very spoilt.
The boys, not usually ones to comment on their surroundings, specifically said at the end of the stay how luxurious, cosy and wonderful the stay had been.
Paul and Mel are wonderful hosts and couldn't do more to make our stay comfortable and very happy.
Lone Barn is by far the BEST holiday accommodation that we have ever stayed in and I cannot recommend it enough. We will definitely return.
