I had the good fortune of being referred to the Zakinn during September 2014 during an extended assignment in Iringa. A smaller hotel located a few blocks off the beaten path in a safe and convenient spot close to shopping, tourist attractions, and public transportation. Very secure for travelers yet without any feeling of isolation from the vibrant city center. A short walk down flower-lined streets takes you to a growing selection of restaurants and historic sites.
For those interested in history and culture, there is a wonderful historical walking tour of Iringa provided by local experts that is well worth the reasonable cost. Inquire at the front desk for more information.

The staff are kind, considerate and attentive and dedicated to making guests feel at home. Rooms are ultra clean with high quality bedding, wi-fi access, and other amenities. The food is great with an excellent breakfast selection. For those needing a longer stay, check out the two rooms separate from the main building. I would definitely stay at Zakinn during my next trip to Iringa.

My husband and I stayed at Zakinn in September 2014 and we definitely could see how it stood out from the rest of the hotels or guesthouses in Iringa town.

The extra amenities such as a heater in the room (Iringa can be quite cold Jun-Aug), coffee/tea service, bar fridge as well as duvets with removable washable covers are fantastic standout features in this hotel.

It is an executive style hotel which is well suited for business travellers or small family groups as it has 8 rooms available.

The staff & management are working hard to create a welcoming home away home and I would recommend Zakinn to those who are willing to pay a little more for comfort & class in Iringa.
