We really enjoyed our stay at La Jibarita. The hosts were very helpful and kind. The apartment was nicely furnished and very well appointed with everything necessary for house keeping. Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove and utensils. It was very clean. Internet and satellite tv worked well. There are not many places to stay in the mountains. We felt very fortunate to find such a jewel of a place.
The views are incredible. From the rooftop you can see all the way to the ocean at Isabella. We took several panoramic photos.
The trip from San Juan is a little over an hour by car. The road is modern, wide and relatively straight. There are many good restaurants within driving distance. There is a restaurant and a Panaderia. Reposteria across the street.
Morovis is centrally located on the island. It puts you within 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours from many places. During our stay we visited Utuado, Jajuja, Orocovis, San Sebastián, Isabella and even El Yunque. Almost every beach on the north coast is 20-45 minutes driving time.
Come here, stay here, you will be glad you did.
Great place to unwind and relax. The apartment is super equipped and welcoming. The pool area has everything you need from a fridge, microwave, shower, ect. My stay was excellent from day one. Chede greeted me and was very friendly to greet us. We took a tour of the apartment and the pool area. Ultimately we feel like at home but in the beautiful countryside of Morovis. I recommend Chede excellent location and is very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
All in all, the apartment was pleasant enough. Chede has thought of everything, as many items are available throughout the apartment along with an item by item price list posted on the refrigerator door. We made many new friends with tiny ants that were loyal enough to travel with us as we continued to explore the island. The common area was nice, along with the apartments furnishings. The shower seemed to have a mind of its own, as it would fluctuate greatly in pressure and temperature. For a second unexpected shower, the faucet in the kitchen provides forceful random aquatic explosions that leave you surprised and drenched. This adds to the cultural experience, and makes for great travel stories to retell. ; )
Chede remained professional. She was eager for our arrival, as she phoned us early in the day of our expected arrival, and then texted us again late afternoon to check on our arrival time.
