A beautifully restored stone house in a tranquil green area. The upstairs porch is perfect for kicking back with a book, listening to the cowbells and the little train passing in the valley below. Nice, family-run place.
Breakfast was simple, but outstanding, made so by locally produced honey, apple butter, and shortbread... delicious!
Only downsides were how difficult it was to find initially, and sharing the quiet area with a paintball range -- the oldest one in Asturias. The players stayed in the nearby woods, but the "gunfire," screams and shouts were still all too present for someone who's lived through the real thing.
I will go back, but I'll be sure to ask if a paintball game is scheduled for the same time.More
