Absolutely magical. Stunning setting, amazingly warm staff, incredible food. I cannot wait to return to this hidden gem! This was the last of our three stops in Crete. We spent 5 nights there and it was not enough. Could not have been a better experience.
Manolis and his team are doing incredible things, all-around, here at 'Eleonas'! The setting alone is worth a few nights' stay, tucked into the walls of Rouvas Gorge and slightly north of the quaint mountain village of Zoras. Adding on: the hilly layout provides vistas and privacy for each cabin, the two pools offer something for each water-happy visitor, and the dining areas are great as well. Breakfast is a never-ending spread of Greek favourites (scrambled eggs topped with tomatoes & feta; Greek yogurt with local honeys & jams; pastries a-plenty!)
They are happy to point you in the right direction for a local hike, of which there are many, or suggest a nearby road trip.

As our first holiday as a family of four, we could not have chosen a better place to stay.
We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable by the manager, Manolis, who was friendly and always available.
The location is stunning with views across the mountains and the entire premises is beautifully maintained.
Our accommodation was clean and comfortable with excellent WiFi signal throughout. Aircon worked perfectly and the shower was amazing.
The pool area was pristine and perfect for the kids. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for relaxing. There's also an adult only pool which is pure bliss.
We did half-board which was ideal for us. The breakfasts were incredible with a range of authentic Greek delicacies along with more basic options for kids. The dinners were also excellent and the kids menu meant even our fussy children were full every evening.
I cannot recommend highly enough and we will absolutely be returning.

We arrived in the middle of the night to find the most amazing place with most amazing and caring staff I have ever met in any hotel.
The facilities are the best! For the kids and adults. The cottage was carefully designed and very well thought out.
We took the half board and it's really worth it.

Every rave review you’ve read about this place is true! My sister and I spent three nights at Eleonas during a 2-week road trip across Crete, and it was our favorite stop. We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage, which was spacious, clean and comfortable, with fabulous mountain views and both a large patio and second-story balcony. We loved hanging out on the patio drinking wine. The staff was so friendly and helpful - they really went out of their way to make sure we had a fabulous time. Breakfast was a huge spread with lots of variety, and new things every day. I would give it six stars if I could! Don’t miss hiking the Rivas Gorge (and borrow the hiking poles offered by the hotel)!
