Came here as a pilgram. The Saint Lawrence sea way gives this site a calm and relaxing feeling. Great to take time to pray and reflect. The old church holds the statue of mother Mary that opened its eyes. Very intimate space. The basillica is more modern and is much larger. I attended a service open to the general public here and was quite moved by the priest's sermon. As a part of a group we had several activities scheduled. A taize where they read scripture and then sing(chant), and play instruments. This I believe was a professional musical experience really moved me. They have statues of the stations of the cross, we toured this with the retreat personnel. We had a rosary in the gardens. A candlelight procession. Two masses at the old church were scheduled. I recommend this retreat.

Everything in this place is great. The energy in the old chapel, the magnificent new Basilica, the Christ Via Crucis and other statues in the beautiful gardens, the peace. There's been about 30 years I use to visit this place.

I was on a three week tour of Canada and our coach trip stopped here for a break. It was a delightful surprise- a beautiful church, right on the St Lawrence river but in such a peaceful location. the whole place had an air of tranquility and peace.

The church sat majestically in its surroundings and it was just a delight to walk around the church and its gardens. Apparently its on the largest catholic churches in Quebec.

The interior of the church was magnificent as was the surrounding gardens, lake and bridge. I would have liked to have spent some more time by the St Lawrence in this beautiful location but sadly on tour time is short. Recommend a visit

This is a beautiful shrine with massive and many stain glass windows. It is in a very pretty location that offers peace and tranquility. The old Chapel is inspiring, don’t miss it.

The evening offered a beautiful candle lite procession and prayer walk. A fabulous opportunity for reflection.

One of the largest Catholic churches in Quebec. Very peaceful place. Unmissable touristic site in Trois Rivieres, even if it's for one hour. No need to be religious, just curious.
