Owner description: For flamboyant fun with lots of colour, laughter and amazing spectacles, Pride Toronto is the place to be. It's one of biggest gay pride festivals in the world, with an incredible parade, live music and DJs, and has attracted top stars such as Cyndi Lauper and Pussy Riot to celebrate the LGBT community in the Toronto area. For ten days in June, the city takes on a colourful hue as its diverse community celebrates solidarity through music, conferences and three incredible parades: Trans Pride, Dyke March and the massive Pride Parade, with floats, fancy dress and feathers. It’s an incredible chance to dress up and join the crowds of thousands in one of the biggest cultural events in North America, covering 22 blocks of the city.

I only went for the day of the parade but from start to finish I enjoyed myself. It doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, trans or anything, everyone is treated the same. The atmosphere is so positive and vibrant. The parade was 3.5 hours long but worth every minute.

Don’t waste your time. Have been going to pride for 30 years and had a lot of fun. Now it is all about hate and excluding people like the Toronto Police Service in favor of hateful special interest groups. Very sad

PRIDE celebration in Toronto is incredible, not only is it a great weekend to celebrate but it technically runs through the month of June.
We were there for the main weekend and there were many things to do on Church St. as well on Dundas & Younge plaza, from music, dancing, performances, eating.
It is incredible to see how the whole downtown area turns up the rainbow for diversity. They promote it everywhere, tv, public advertisement, and even cover the parade on tv. Yes it is a huge source of revenue for the city but it is done in a very organized way and welcoming to everyone.
The parade is anywhere between 3-4 hours and covers the full gamut of LGBTQ people, organizations and allies, families, new friends you will make, even Canada's prime minister!
The parade started at 2 pm and is best to find your spot from where you will see it about 1 to 1.5 hours prior. You can drinks so you stay hydrated, and don't forget the sunscreen, umbrella just in case of a shower. Also be open to talk to others we made new friends, Canadians are friendly.
Once you go to a Toronto pride you will want to go back.
