Harlan's Point is a great day or even half a day thing to do. The beach has a clothing mandatory and clothing optional area, so depends on your preferences. I would suggest purchasing tickets online so you don't have to wait in line when departing. There is not a great deal of shade, so wear sunscreen appropriately. Make certain you find out what time the last ferry departs to head back to Toronto, or else you will have to take a water taxi, which I have heard is not the greatest.

I was in Hanlan's last week for Pride. After a short and enjoyable ferry trip I was greeted by and old friend. We walked the Island to the beach. The beach was packed and lovely, some people were nude, a very few. It was a lot of fun, we met more friends and walk over to a party on the island with a different beach. The view was lovely, the lake beach was beautiful with pebbles and very friendly people. We danced all afternoon and walked back to the ferry. It is a very enjoyable day trip!

There are 2 beaches here..one is having optional cloth beach and one is having cloth mandatory beach.

Both are good to enjoy and relax..
Nice view.. matured people used to go here..
Not suitable for kids as it is having cloth optional beach.
you need to go in ferry from Jack Layton ferry terminal
Cost is 7.5 dollar both way.. every 1 hour ferry is there.

The wall at Hanlan's Point attracts not only boaters from every port on Lake Ontario and elsewhere around the lake, it brings Torontonions and tourists alike to this peaceful gem. It is located on the west side of the island with easy access to everything on the island. Our grandchildren love Centreville and the beach at the South end. Lots to see and do. If you love to walk, it is perfect for you and if not, either bring your bikes or rent one as you should explore the many facets of the island.

After mooring on the wall, we usually get organized by one of the many fire pits and our picnic table. The days are peaceful & we like to people watch as the many visitors walk off the ferry to their destinations.

After enjoying a BBQ supper, the kids enjoy a fire and their smores before calling it a night.

It's hard to believe that we have such a jewel in Toronto Harbour.

I stumbled upon Hanlan's point by accident, but I'm glad I did. excellent naturist beach with a good mix of male/female and families for once. If its your first time or you just tempted, then its one of the best places to do it with a nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Sure you will get the odd giggly textile, but they soon shut up and leave when you do your best daniel craig impression and stride out of the lake, although with no hidden 007 gadgets!
