The service in this hotel was fantastic, but the bar team were definitely the highlight of the visit. They're immensely knowledgeable and their recommendations for the local area were perfect. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Room Tip: Higher floors are possibly better to avoid street noise

Good location for sightseeing the city you can walk to most landmarks or use choices of transport nearby , the area also felt safe anytime of day with plenty of food options in the area . We were on the 4th floor so not too high and over Carlton street surprisingly quite room not a lot of traffic noise just the odd street car in the morning you heard . Rooms were very clean and modern only downside was the bathroom was small but not unusual for city centre hotels worldwide, staff friendly and very helpful would recommended and stay here again

Always a good choice for city centre with access to College subway station Line 1 in front of hotel. Can easily walk to Eaton Centre. The old Maple Leaf Gardens is next door with fantastic selection of ready made food and bakery. Frans restaurant is just down the street if your looking for a good meal, Tim Horton and Starbucks a step away as well. Cinema next door with movies. The hotel is busy and the elevators are really slow and busy. Staff are friendly. Rooms can be a bit small but clean and comfortable.

This was my first stay in this hotel, and I stayed 3 nights in early October 2018. I found the location convenient for business in the MaRS Discovery Center, which was about 2 blocks to the west. Getting to the hotel from Pearson airport (YYZ) was a simple matter of taking the Union-Pearson (UP) Express train from the airport to Union Station, walking from the Express station east into the original Union Station to catch the subway (North to Finch) and getting off at the 4th stop (College). The Holiday Inn entrance is about 100 meters east of the NE exit from the College subway station.

Check in was fast and easy. The elevator requires your room key to stop at the correct floor. Hallways to the room were narrow, but clean and well-maintained. The room was small -- more like a European hotel -- but very clean and efficient, and the decor was nice. Coffee maker, flat-screen TV, safe, refrigerator, recycling bin along with the trash bins. The bathroom was quite small (I'm big; 6'2", 125kg) , but I liked the fact it was only a shower and not a tub. Accouterments were standard HI. There is a restaurant/lounge on the first floor, and a Starbucks is literally right out front. Internet worked great; faster than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. I didn't have time to use any of the other amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent a week at this hotel in September 2018. It is centrally located with public transit just outside the door. We were able to walk to many of our destinations or just take the public transit. Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a variety of choices. One can have a continental or the typical american breakfast. Also, they were very generous with their coffee which was very good. We recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor which was quite even though we were on a main street.
