We stayed for two nights using a prepaid voucher that gave us the room and a complementary breakfast each morning.

The Inn is immaculate and very we’ll furnished with antiques.

The restaurant at the Inn is rimmed with widows and a very large outdoor patio facing two adjacent wineries.

We spent to days tasting at local winery’s and had very good diners both at local restaurants.

In all a very nice visit. I know we will be back.

We stayed there this weekend on a getaway from our kids. The Inn is in a great location and beautiful grounds. However, the rooms are a little tired. The carpet was are old and stained. The coffee maker in the room is outdated and hardly worked. When opening the cabinet for the TV it was covered with dust. The folder holding the menus in the room was very old, stained and worn out.The furniture is very old and getting worn out.I understand they want the old antique look for the rooms but I believe they are past that. When you look at the cost of the room for 1 night($350) it is definitely not worth it from a quality and value standpoint.I know we could have stayed at a much nicer place for that dollar value. We had breakfast in the restaraunt the following morning it was okay but expensive.(pretty hard to screw up bacon and eggs.)I wouldn’t stay there again until they upgraded the property.

Beautiful and amazing staff. The breakfast was ample and delicious. Close to town but in a quiet location. Niagara on the Lake is special, even when the Shaw Festival is on break for the season. Nice gift shops and restaurants. The Prince of Wales Hotel has an excellent Tea in the afternoon - don't miss it.

Always ask a local, right? An Ontario friend sent me a Travelzoo deal link for the Riverbend Inn when I asked for hotel recommendations and it worked a treat for us.
The hotel is lovely with great views over the vineyards. The decor and some of the fixtures are a little dated but that just adds to the charm.
The service could not have been more welcoming. I booked the deal in advance then had to call the hotel to honour it - so a bit of a gamble coming from the UK and with only one date option. At first the hotel said it didn’t have a room but when I explained how far we were coming the manager sorted something out for us.
The location is great, very close to wineries for which this deal gives you free tastings.
We had dinner out (though we were eligible for a 20% discount) but when we got back the super friendly Karen poured us a generous glass of two of their own red wines and told us all about the history.
Waking up to the views below was a real treat and the breakfast options were great.
And just when we thought we couldn’t like it more, they gave us a bottle of wine as a gift as part of the deal.
The package we had would usually be around $300(Canadian) and we paid $179 so we thought it was a great deal.

Staying at the Riverbend Inn for 3 nights, we went to breakfast on our 1st morning. The waiter said the kitchen was out of a few items for breakfast. "Oh, eggs" I joked. "Correct. No eggs." He said. "Why didn't someone drive into NOTL to buy eggs?" No answer. Ordered an omelet with liquid eggs. It had NO TASTE. They eventually refunded our breakfast charges after we complained about the lack of quality, incredibly poor planning and lack of initiative by hotel staff. The waiter brought us our breakfast bill to sign but no pen. Jeez. Then the gas fireplace in our room didn't work despite being 'repaired' at our request. This was our first return after a few years and the Inn has become rundown and not as clean as it used to be. Our stay was a pricey disappointment despite good service by the evening front desk staff who were very nice and helpful.
