I regret why I did not read reviews before booking this hotel.

1. They charged as a hefty $26 for their own parking space which they did not discuss upon checking in. They asked me to sign a paper upon check in of the total amount they will charge my credit card. But upon check out I was informed the total bill is $200+ because of the parking and resort fee.
2. They charged as another $12.95 for a “MANDATORY” resort fee. We didn’t book a waterpark package! This should be optional!
Since they already charged us for Promotional fee!
3. Small flies in the room.
4. They don’t provide you your own shampoo, condition & soap. They have installed 2in1 shampoo/body wash dispenser and a lotion
dispenser.
5. As for what other reviewer has written, it is true that a security personnel would knock at your door and would let you know if you will still make a noise they will ask you to leave!

We went to niagara for enjoyment! So we need to limit it because their rooms are not sound proof!

FYI this is the first time we encountered a hotel that is “NOT” sound proof! Your wood flooring keep on making squeaky noise every step we made. This hotel badly needs an upgrade/renovation.

We have stayed on a 2 star hotel before and it was way more better that this Skyline Hotel. For the price of $200 a night, its definitely not worth the price!!!!

Thank you for posting your review of your stay at Skyline Hotel & Waterpark. Please know that we take all comments and problems to the guest experience very seriously.

I would like to personally apologize to you if the parking fees and resort fee were not properly disclosed to you upon bookings. As you do not state how you booked your stay with us I can only comment that all online forms of booking disclose all of our fees at the time of booking. Our reservations agents are trained to divulge all connected fees for your stay and our sign in waiver would have also divulged all fees. We are so sorry if this process somehow failed you, please know that I will review all mentioned processes to ensure that they are functional and viewed by our guests.

We will keep our eyes open for flies or misquotes in the rooms, or other such complaints however to date we have experienced no such complaints in regards to flying insects. Often times entrance of flying insects such as bees, mosquitos, or flies are uncontrollable by any establishment, hotel, or house. We do have preventative maintenance programs to prevent bugs or infestations of many types and take these complaints very seriously.

As mentioned Skyline Hotel & Waterpark prefers to be green by offering dispensers rather then individual products which offer much waist and would definitely not be recognized as a green choice. We do understand that guests sometimes prefer individual products which is why we do offer these products upon request. We are so sorry if this was not made aware to you during your time with us.

I apologize for my lack of understanding regarding your noise concern. You mention that rooms are not soundproof but also that our security is strict. Skyline Hotel & Waterpark adopts a strict 10pm quiet time as many of our guest families have young ones with early bed times. We must unfortunately enforce our quiet times with some guests on occasion to ensure that all guests are privy to a quiet and restful sleep.

I again personally apologize that Skyline Hotel & Waterpark did not meet your expectations and we look forward to rectifying some of your mentioned comments as to prevent these occurrences with our future guests.

Our family was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room we stayed. We often go to Niagara Falls for weekends and we have stayed in many inns or motels at Niagara Falls. This time we had the pleasure of staying at Skyline and enjoyed the waterpark for our weekend. We went there on Sunday and left Monday, perhaps it was not a very busy time the hotel was quiet. The staff at check in and out was very friendly and nice - excellent customer service. The indoor path to waterpark is very convenient. There's also movie night so if you have little ones it's a good option to do it before bed time (not new movie - like Finding Nemo, but good for small kids anyways).

We stayed October 12th to the 14th 2018.... our first complaint was being told we had to pay a 200.00 deposit which they did not mention on the telephone when i had booked..... the manager did reduce this to 100 ... but it was still a big annoyance .. the parking really sucked and was so hard to park anywhere in there... 20.00 extra to park a night in one of the worst parking garages I've seen !! Upon entering our room it smelled so bad of an odour that resembled cat pee it was disgusting! The fridge in reb room didnt work .... the bathroom still had hair all over it from previous people ... ice bucket still full of old water from a previous stay ... the bedding was the worst I have ever slept under as far as comfort.... beds were so hard .... the bunk beds in the kids space were not even made the blankets just thrown in a pile on top of the bunks .... carpet was dirty .... and to add to it the waterpark was also horrible ... the chlorine caused my boyfriend to break out everywhere....which they did refund us our waterpark passes for ... there were kids just tackling other kids every which way ....I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ! I am severely disappointed especially after the price I paid and the movie on the weekend with popcorn at every end of the hotel squished all over the floors !

Filthy carpets, No fan in bathroom, Very bad odors, noisy, and would NEVER stay there again! Parking extra and very hard maneuvering in garage. No soap in rooms. Only use dispenser in shower. The location is fair but expect to walk distances.Needs a very very serious upgrade!

Esther C,

We are so sorry that you had such a negative experience at Skyline Hotel & Waterpark. Please know we are currently proceeding with our fall improvement project which will rectify any and all carpet issues. We do have automatic bathroom fans which are mounted on the roof of the hotel to draw bathroom moisture away. We do this as to not inconvenience our guests with in room fan noise.

Please know that I will personally look into the housekeeping comments you outlined as your experience is well below our standards. Again, I personally apologize for the experience and hope to one day change your mind about us.

Kind regards,

Anthony

We stayed here from September 26-28th 2018. I called to book with there resveration line and was never told the Waterpark is only operational on Fridays and Saturdays until checkin. You would think you think if a hotel is called “Skyline Hotel & Waterpark” they would advise guests that book during the week the the water park is unavailable to them, but the hotel still charged us $12.95 per night as a resort fee (we had two rooms so we paid $51.80 for a resort hotel that offered us nothing!!). We were not the only family disappointed by this. Almost every time we pass threw the lobby there were disappointed guest having the same issue. We booked here as it was advertised that the Waterpark is attached to the hotel and it was a disappointment after disappointment.
Online the advertise a movie night at 8pm in the court yard which my kids were excited about, and that did not happen either night either as it only occurs on the nights the Waterpark is open. To me this was fault advertising. Sarah at the front desk did offer us complimentary breakfast yet for us it did make up for the Waterpark issue.

I did find it very interesting that on Wednesday night as we noticed the lights on in the water park and grown ups and small people using the tube rides in the Waterpark. When I asked the front desk they said it was maintenance people. Well one of the riders was a child so I don’t know very many child maintenance workers. That was beyond frustrating!

We were put in an old smelly room on the far side of the hotel with the wrost bedding that I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Three stars is a stretch! Maybe two star on a good day. I complied about the stains in the tub and that got cleaned the next day but the moldy smell remained. Yuck!

As we were checking in, there was another family checking out voicing their concerns and was met with a response that this is a three star resort, what are you expecting. She was treated very poorly in my opinion and this is when we should have grabbed the kids and left.

Nothing was good about this hotel. I will Never stay here again and I recommend you do not either.

amydavid2018,

Thank you for letting us know about your negative experience at Skyline Hotel & Waterpark. Fallsview Indoor Waterpark was closed on Wednesday September 26th and Thursday September 27th. Any persons whom you viewed would have been workers performing repairs. Skyline Hotel & Waterpark is too far displaced in distance to make any accurate conclusions as to whom would have been in the park and even if they are an adult or child as there are no windows with direct views of the water areas. Further, Skyline Hotel & Waterpark does not offer movies when Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is closed.

The $12.95 Resort Fee is not an optional fee as we charge all guests regardless of Water Park access our Resort Fee. The Resort Fee includes the following
• 4 bottles of water per room per day.
• WiFi connection for endless devices.
• Local & long distance calling in your room to anywhere in the USA or Canada.
• Beer tasting for 2 at Niagara Brewing Company.
• 2 WEGO tickets.
As far as we are aware these types of complaints related to Water Park closures are few and far between. I can assure you that our team will be on the lookout for other such incidents.

Thank you again for your comments.
