Paul really knew the best places in the area to visit. He was happy to give me some extra time at Grand-Pré when I mentioned I’m Acadian. He took us to Halls Harbor at just the right time to walk on the sea bed while the tide was out. He also had some fun short videos about local history for us to watch while on the way. The first winery he took us to was so much fun and felt like a personal wine tour. Lucketts was also fun to visit. I liked the way Paul’s tour focused on seeing the beautiful landscape and on smaller venues that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise, as well as the main stops.

Paul is the consummate host. He met us promptly at our start time and immediately we felt like old friends. He gave a detailed introduction to our day and the trip began with some onboard video and photos to support his description. Paul has a vast knowledge and does not use a script. He is passionate about his tours and is committed to providing as much detail as possible. Throughout the trip he provided old photographs and more video clips to enhance the experience. He is well researched on not just the Titanic and Halifax explosion. He has many anecdotes about historical figures, old buildings and plans for the future of Halifax/Dartmouth and the surrounding area that are not generally known. His schedule allowed ample time for bio breaks, coffee and lunch. We never felt rushed. Comprehensive tour and well worth the money.

Due to Covid, illness, and weather we had to cancel three tours that we had booked with Paul. We finally were able to take this tour on our fourth try. Paul is very easy to work with and is very prompt answering emails. His vehicle is very comfortable and it is so much nicer than going on the big cruise ship tours. He is very knowledgeable and is a pleasure to be with. We took his Halifax Titanic Historical Tour. Paul knows all there is to know about the history of Halifax and likes to share his knowledge. You won't be disappointed going with Paul.

Seven ladies of a certain age took the Half Day Small Group tour when in Halifax on our Princess Cruise July 30, 2024. I booked this excursion independent of the ship. We made it back to port in plenty of time. Our guide Paul was a good driver, friendly and had plenty of information to share with us. We had stops to admire the views along the way to Lunenburg and back. We had a light lunch at the Salt Shaker Deli where the staff was very friendly and efficient. The best part of the tour was Paul beating the large tour buses to Peggy's Cove so we had time to visit before the crowds. He also played documentary videos during the ride where we learned new information. Before that we were not aware of a coal fire burning in the hull the Titanic prior to hitting the iceberg. Another about how Canada handled the diversion of airline flights in response to the September 11 attacks in 2001 in the U.S. and hosted thousands of passengers who were stranded until U.S. airspace was reopened.
