I booked a last minute getaway to Whistler, and found that the town was packed because of Crankworx. Luckily, I stumbled upon a great deal at the Pinnacle. Being from the Lower Mainland, I've been to Whistler (and stayed in every type of accommodation) more times than I can count, but I will definitely book the Pinnacle again.
Rooms: Our room had two queens, a little kitchenette, and a balcony. Very clean and was supplied with everything we needed. Stunning view of the mountains from the third floor! Great beds, bathroom, shower, and of course my 7 year old loved the jacuzzi in the bedroom :)
Staff: We encountered staff from a few different departments, and all were friendly and helpful, even though it was clearly an incredibly busy week.
Pool: Travelling with a 7 year old means a pool is a must. The pool was a bit small, but not at all busy so it didn't matter. It was a good temperature and had everything we needed.
Location: Seriously - the perfect location. Not at all noisy, but still central. Close to excellent restaurants (Satchi Sushi and Crepe Montagne).
Value: Whistler has such a mix of accommodation that it's hard to feel confident when booking. Just stay at the Pinnacle if you are looking for an excellent hotel that doesn't cost a fortune.More
