We have been coming to this restaurant every couple years for the last 10 years plus. At first we liked it a lot and then we felt that quality of their food was getting worse. However, this time we decided to give it another try and were not disappointed. We chose to eat at the sushi bar. While it did not have the view of the main room, it was very cozy and quiet. We ordered 2 miso soups and spicy fried calamari for an appetizer. Their calamaris were the most tender and flavorful we ever had. As we were told by our waitress, these were of a Humboldt variety. For main dish I ordered Shoukado Sushi Bento (tuna, salmon, surf clam, and tamago nigiri, California roll, assorted sashimi, seaweed salad, shrimp sunomono salad ) and my husband ordered Chirashi Don Bowl (Tuna, salmon, scallop, prawn, surf clam, tamago, avocado, seaweed salad on a bowl of rice). Everything was outstanding - very fresh and tasty. Their portions were substantial but not huge so we were full but without feeling overstuffed. We felt that their prices were very reasonable for high quality food they served.
