Description: We focus on exceptional customer experience through providing fresh fine food (international), a deep wine and spirits list, and exceptional cocktails. Knowledgeable service staff will impress and guide your experience. Often described as a 'hidden gem', look for the neon purple elephant on lower Fort St. near Wharf St. in Victoria's 'Old Town'. We are 'down the hall'.

Loved the atmosphere of Little Jumbo - it felt like an old speak easy. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was to die for. Really loved the whole experience

Coming from Portland we know good restaurants...and Little Jumbo is a delight. Every drink and dish was a perfect 10/10. I knew things were going to go well when my Old Fashioned arrived exactly as it should...no water, no orange slice, no cherry...absolute perfection. The fresh oysters were as good as any I have ever had and served with fresh grated horseradish. We also ordered the grilled asparagus, the burger and truffle fries, and the pulled duck carbonara which were all magical. Great atmosphere. I would recommend to any foodie.

This is a wonderful place that is hidden from view so you won’t ever stumble across it down a corridor. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by a team of friendly staff into a restaurant with wonderful decor and warm atmosphere. The menu is brief but the dishes exquisite: marrying tastes that you never imagined would mix. The selection of wines and spirits is extensive and teams in to complement the the food. Helpful but not overpowering staff makes it a wonderful evening.

This place is really nice to hang out or to have dinner. The food is excellent and the service is great. They make really good drinks, but I have to recomment the shaft. They just make it better than no other place in Victoria

I deeply regret upon moving to Victoria not listening to artist acquaintance who insisted we try Little Jumbo. The good news? We finally went. The bad? We've left Victoria, and cannot go back. Look, this is not a vegan-friendly place, and it is expensive. But hidden away on Fort Street, so close to tourist-central, but blessedly hidden from the mobs, is Little Jumbo. You descend into the space, and it is like entering another world. Just a great little space, long and rectangular, with a great bar for drinking alone, or meeting like-minded people. Okay, so I was the only guy without a beard, including staff. Seriously! But this is Victoria on Vancouver Island (land of beards and dated fashion), and the hipsters have found this place. But, honestly, this is a great space. The server was very, very knowledgeable, and made good suggestions. The place is open late - and I say this because our first choice, Perro Negro, was closed at 11:00 - and this was one of the only two late night places of this sort that were open. Oh, Victoria - so much to answer for... The drink list is massive, especially for whiskey and scotch, as I recall. There are some reasonably-priced offerings, and the usual $13.00+ cocktails. But, what they do well here, they do very well. You may want to come at happy hour to save a few dollars, but definitely check this place out. I would have made it a regular haunt had I gone earlier. Places like this are rare in Victoria, and need to be supported, and not just by the bearded masses!
