The Bedford Regency Hotel was a wonderful surprise. I booked it as the price was reasonable but didn't really know anything about it. It was built in 1877 and has a wonderful old world charm. The location is fantastic, right on the corner of Bastion Square and Government Street so all the action, shops and people are right out the front door. Just two short blocks from the inner harbour. From this location you can walk to all the downtown sites like the Empress Hotel and the Legislature.
The room was very cute, quaint and oh so comfortable. My room 112 looked over some plastic lattice and I think the hotel air intake. Didn't matter! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and it was so adorable that I didn't really need a view. More
