After several tasting menus around Canada, we have to say...this is one of the best places to dine. The attention to detail, flavours, and plating are impeccable. The owner Uwe came to say helloand made great suggestions based on us traveling, it felt like we were dining at his home. We will be back for sure (they will have white asparagus during its season ). The staff are friendly and engaging, rare in our dining experiences. Very nice touch.

Visited with a party of 11. Of which 5 were children aged between 4 and 10. Given the very smart decor, I was concerned that they might not be overly family friendly. I was wrong. The staff were fantastic, from a warm welcome at the door from the Parisian Maitre d, to the knowledge and friendly waiters. The owner even came around to make recommendations as to how to make the food more manageable for the kids.

The ambiance was fantastic, and the food wonderful. We had a Wiener schnitzels and the Cornish Chicken. I can highly recommend both. The Cheese spatzel are also worthy of mention. All the children and adults cleaned their plates. The fresh made sorbets for desert and the deserts in general were also fabulous.

Went for special birthday dinner on Good Friday. Wanted so much to like it from other reviews. Atmosphere from greeting at the door and all stages of the service was efficient, professional, but no where close to warm. Owner Uwe Boll visited each table to have a few words with the patrons as commonly reported but both of us felt that compared with Vij in the department of charisma, it was "night and day".
Tasting menu we both found quite uninspiring and so opted for the ala carte menu. Uwe had described the asparagus, eggplant, sea buckthorn and aged parmesan starter which we both loved. My choice of the veal rack was a large single chop encrusted with Frankfurt herbs and root vegetables. The sauce was good but did not "wow" and the meat tasted better without the distracting taste of the herb crust. Lamb duo was perfectly done lamb chops and lamb shoulder on a garlic lentil base. We did not try dessert as it was only a choice of ice creams at $15 a serving.
Other prices were also at the higher end of the spectrum: entrees at $60 and $65, starters at $21.
Overall impression was that the food was technically well prepared with many signs of originality, but the menu was unexciting. We left without any yearning of returning to try any other creations by the culinary team.

I came in towards the end of lunch service for lunch with my date. All the staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable, and we even received a visit from the manager, Dan. On recommendation, we both had the classic schnitzel, which was delicious and beautifully presented.
This was not my first visit, but it was for my date. I wanted to make a great impression, and Bauhaus made sure that happened. Can’t wait for my next chance to dine here!

Bauhaus has a pretentious look to it but don't be repelled by the swank. The food is absolutely delicious and you'll be happy to decided to sit and dine at this tasty German restaurant. The pairing they suggest are fantastic and the service is always good. I'd recommend this spot to locals and tourists alike.
