The front desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom amenities were top notch. The bed was very comfortable which made for a wonderful sleep. This hotel is located right on Robson Street amid many restaurants and varied shopping. It is a very busy street, but the room was quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with friends in the coffee shop area of the restaurant. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. It was on the high end of the price range but the staff and comfort levels made up for the expense.

Room Tip: we chose a water view so were on floor 25 - great view

We spent three nights here. Our room is on 30th floor with 270 degree city and harbour view. Room is large and very clean, bed is very comfortable. The hotel is at Robson Street, the center of west end, very easy to get around, and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Overall this is a great hotel, highly recommended.

This hotel is very well located - a 15-20 minute stroll to the waterfront and from there to Stanley Park. It is a pick-up spot for many excursions and surrounded by all types of restaurants, bars and cafeterias. Our room was clean, with a great view, and comfortable apart from the mattresses being far too soft for someone with a back problem. After the first 2 nights I slept on the floor and then asked the housekeeping manager for help. I was told that all the mattresses were the same and there had been no other complaints and was provided with two thick extra blankets, which helped somewhat. The food in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. The problem we had was with the bar. My husband doesn't drink but I enjoy a glass of wine with a meal and a nightcap before retiring. After being told that the bar closed at 10.30 staff refused to serve us at 10.25 and then again at 10.20. On our final evening, we asked our waitress about closing times, just to make sure, and were told it was 10.30 for both restaurant and bar. At 10.20 I ordered a drink and was told that the bar closed at 10.15 p.m. I suggested that accurate closing times should be posted in order to avoid confusion and then heard loud laughter from staff as I was leaving. So if you enjoy a quiet drink in your hotel before retiring make sure you order it at 10 p.m. - and good luck with that!

There's a lot to like about this hotel. A fabulous location close to shops and restaurants, friendly and helpful staff plus competitively priced rooms. My wife and I stayed in one of the hotels "Private Bedroom Suites" for 4 nights in June. Although a little dated, the room was comfortable, clean and well furnished. Our only complaint was that the older style wall-mounted air conditioning unit was rather noisy. That aside everything else at this hotel was faultless. We'll be back...
