I visited the park mainly to see the totem poles which are fabulous, but you can stay a day here. The gardens/grounds are beautiful and there are lots of different trails/walks, the one \i liked most was the coastal walk.

This park seems to dominate much of the city and I am sure is very well used by locals and tourists alike. We could walk to the Parkk from our Hotel on Robson so made good use of the views even though it was raining for much of our visit.

I don't really like riding bikes, but okay. We rented one and then proceeded to bike around the park. The path was very cool because it was separated from the walkers. There's a lot of beautiful views and beaches and benches to hang out in the park. I'm really glad I took the time to check it out

We rented three bikes and biked along the path all throughout Stanley park. I would recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid crowds, but regardless the whole path is stunning. Be sure to stop off and grab some ice cream and walk under the lions gate bridge.

Side note: MAKE SURE YOU LOCK YOUR BIKES AND HOLD ONTO YOUR HELMET. We had spoken with locals who told us that theft was an ongoing issue in Vancouver.

Stanley Park is a really lovely, huge public park just a short bus ride from central Vancouver. Its surrounded by water & has fantastic views across the harbour / English Bay. It's relaxing just enjoying the nature or taking a leisurely walk the length harbour path but you can also explore this lovely park in horse drawn carriage, by cycle or park train. A must-see are the first nation Totem Poles with their carvings and colour. Each totem pole has a history board to understand their carvings.

There are a few eateries doted about the park (prospect point, pavilion, waterfall café) and plenty of parking if needed.
