The service was excellent with attentive and personally interested table servers. OUr friend had a food allergy and the staff went out of their way to ensure the menu items could accomodate her. Even with the back and forth to the kitchen and talking to the chef, the service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our delicious fish tacos, veggie burger or plain fish and chips (the allergy meal). Will definitely eat there again! Finally, the selection of craft beers is impressive.

we came here for lunch on a week day, had made a reservation, with 14 family members after a funeral and before a family tea. we were seated at a long table by the door. very few other patrons. it took 1 hour to feed us all. 1 couple were forgotten for awhile, and that was acknowledged along the way. most were happy with their meal, my quinoa salad was delicious. others enjoyed their bangers and mash, hamburger, chicken wings etc. my husband's meat pie was very soupy. another family member unhappy with his pork pie. my son asked me why would i fuss about the service when we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. what if we had been? made no sense to me why the slowness. anyway. one goes to the front counter to order and pay for food and drinks. there were games to use and my grandson and i played cards, most appreciated. and very happy that children are welcomed. very handy as just around the corner from the church. have come here over the years when its been called other names. glad they're reusing the train station, fun idea.

We were surprised to find out that this new pub was experimenting with a vegan menu, and including daily vegan specials and is one of the only places in town to get the new Beyond Meat veg burger. We stopped in for a late dinner on Saturday and were impressed! Service was extremely warm, helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed! The food was great too. I had the butter "chicken" (made with chickpeas) and my husband had the Beyond Meat burger. Both were great. Prices are a little high for the portion size, but not outrageous for downtown Nanaimo. We'll definitely be back to try out the actual vegan menu when it is debuted this weekend!

Food and drinks have to be ordered and paid for at the bar. Some of our party declined this and left. Food was expensive compared to other local eateries and was nothing special.
Our group regularly eats at several local places and there are better meals served at lower prices. Sorry, but we won't be back.
